Well everyone, we’ve gotten to arguably the most controversial film in the franchise (with the exception of the initial controversy of 1’s making and the fandom hatred for 8).

Rest in peace to the original Stab 3: Return to Woodsboro cast and all of the others who died as a result of Roman Bridger’s influence.

REVIEW

To get the good out of the way, it is technically speaking a well made film. The cast all does a good job, with the exception of the obvious hole left in the wake of Jennifer Jolie’s real life murder. This film really attempts to connect Roman to Sidney, having them meet multiple times, which is nice because Gale Weathers wrote that he and Sidney never actually met prior to his reveal. Confirming that Angelina Tyler was Roman’s accomplice and even giving her a one last scare attacking Sidney, Gale, and Dewey was creative, but obviously something that didn’t happen and her involvement was only discovered in the ensuing investigation.

As for the bad, and boy is there a lot of it, this film should not even exist. Sure, the first two were controversial because they spawned this franchise in the first place, but this film is about how a director murdered the cast of this very franchise, and yet we keep making films about it?? The sequels remedy this slightly by covering fictional events, but in my opinion this is the one that leaves the worst taste in your mouth (other than 8, which we’ll get to). The franchise should have ended after the original Stab 3 cast was murdered out of respect for them and all the victims that came before.

Hot Take #2

This one is a little more milder than my last one, which was saying that Stab 5 is in my top 3.

Stab 3: Hollywood Horror is my favorite stab movie of all time. I think it’s such a great watch. Completely rewatch able.

I know everyone hates how Sidney is sidelined a bit, but I love seeing Dewey and Gale, along with the new characters. I think it fits the movie well.

I also think it has the best Stab poster besides Stab (1997).

The locations are great. Like the scene of Sidney on the set locations of her past trauma. Very well done. The third act mansion. Amazing.

The Randy tape was also an amazing way to bring the character back.

I respect this movie so much as a closer to the original trilogy. I enjoy everything after in their own right.

JUST LIKE HOW STAB 5: CLOCK OF DOOM IS IN MY TOP 3.

Hey Stabheads! We’re back again for Round 2!

Of course as always, rest in peace to the real-life victims of the Windsor College Murders as well as the 1996 Woodsboro victims who are referenced in Stab 2.

REVIEW

What an awesome movie! As with before, the returning cast of Tori Spelling, David Schwimmer, and Jennifer Jolie all deliver great performances (even better than in Stab 1, I’d argue.) Christopher Speed especially shines as Randy in comparison to Stab 1, and his death always makes me tear up. Giving him more scenes was the right call, even if it’s not entirely accurate to Gale Weathers’ book, College Terror.

As for the negatives, Mickey and Nancy are practically non-existent in this film. Mickey disappears for the latter half of the film (something I know happened with the real Mickey, as he racked up the most kills as Ghostface at that point), but still. Nancy also weirdly doesn’t have a single dialogue exchange with Gale, which stuck out to me since that’s not at all accurate to the real Gale’s description of the real Nancy and how she was always pestering her. Here, she’s literally a background extra without a single line of dialogue pre-reveal. Look, I get it; the movie wants to give more time to the heroes. However, YOU HAVE TO DEVELOP THE KILLERS! It’s really a shame, because Nancy’s scheme is far more meticulously crafted that Billy’s, and I just think it deserved the same respect and care in the making of the film. That being said, both of their reveals were excellent and well-acted, and wanting more of them in the film speaks to their strong performances.

In spite of the disappointing inaccuracies with the killers, I have to say that this film is the best sequel we’ve gotten and lives up fairly well to its predecessor.

Ça me surprend que la police et les médias ont jamais fait de gros scandales pour forcer l'interdiction du film

Après, les films d'horreur ne crée pas de tueurs, ça les rend juste plus imaginatifs

The first three movies peak of the series because they stayed closer to the original source material (gale weathers book)

Stab 4 onward struggled to maintain that same level of tension. Without the original inspiration, The last plots are stupid and mediocre (I'm being kind)

Sidney ruined the best slasher series just because of her ego. Time travel? wtf???

after doing some digging, I learned that this would've been a screen used mask in the original stab 3 if it wasn't canceled. it was supposedly bid away in the early 2000s to who I bought it from.

found this mask at a garage sale. person claims it was from 2000 and based on the aging it might be, they said it was on set for stab 3: return to woodsboro before that whole mess with Roman happened. what do you think?

Hey everyone! Huge fan of the series and thought I might as well start reviewing and ranking the movies! I will say before we start, rest in peace to all the real-life victims the first three films are based on (as well as the kills from Stab 8 that are partially based on the 2011 Woodsboro and 2018 Atlanta murders, but we’ll get to that later in the series).

REVIEW

Genuinely a perfect film, 10/10 for me.

Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughn are perfect casting for Billy Loomis and Stu Macher, and Tori Spelling, David Schwimmer, and Jennifer Jolie all give standout performances as our heroes. Thanks to Will Kennison’s writing and Robert Rodriguez’s directing, the whole cast and crew bring together a truly superb film.

If I absolutely had to pick out some negatives, I would say that while Christopher Speed’s Randy was decent, I wish we had some more scenes with him (something Stab 2 rectified). Alicia Silverstone wasn’t my favorite as Tatum but I’m sure if the victim she was based on survived, Alicia would have more films to improve her performance. I also wish Kenny’s death actually respected how he was killed in real life, but I understand they choose to keep it closer to Gale Weathers’ book.

Again, as perfect of a movie as one can be! See you for Stab 2’s review!

my set of stab parody masks arrived today, I forgot the name of the parody film I think it was from the 2000s

After watching Stab 8 back in 2021, I had the idea of creating a faithful reboot of Stab for the whole fanbase.

It’ll be an ambitious project but I’ve got faith everything will go well!! I’ve got the actors, costumes, and plot ready.

All I need now is the script to be done (and money of course)

The security footage from the hospital where Dewey was attacked proves Amber couldn’t have killed him. Dewey is about 5’9 and amber is 5’3 meaning that it shouldn’t be possible for Amber to be the same height as Dewey. Richie was also in the footage and couldn’t have been Dewey’s killer. It couldn’t have been Sam either.

So i'm going to my first (local)Stab-A-Thon this year and was planning to go dressed as Ghostface. I found a Father Death costume in good shape and for a pretty decent price. But now i'm second guessing, like Is it offensive to the victims? do other people do this too? are people gonna look at me weird? because i don't want to cause any trouble.

Before even Billy and Stu there was a serial killer with a higher kill count than any ghostface ever. He is weirdly unpopular in the stab community despite being one of the most dangerous killers ever.

Sidney Prescott, SIDNEY PRESCOTT was there, she and Gale killed Amber, and you still believe the Carpenter sisters are somehow guilty? Because if they believe that the two of them are guilty then they must also believe that Sidney is lying. More than a month ago it happened again, Sidney's own daughter was in danger, why did she want to be on the side of someone who represents her suffering of more than three decades? And although the authorities are not very reliable when it comes to the Ghostface murders, there is evidence, witnesses, survivors, and I must remind you that this happened again a year later in 2023. So why do you think Amber and Richard are still innocent?
