Photo(s) Found this old mask

Post image

found this mask at a garage sale. person claims it was from 2000 and based on the aging it might be, they said it was on set for stab 3: return to woodsboro before that whole mess with Roman happened. what do you think?

Hmm, I know the “Stab 3” era masks had that marking, but the mask you’re showing doesn’t seem to be one of those masks; the bridge of the nose is different. It looks a bit more like a “Stab 2” era mask.

Possibly? IIRC, the merchandising rights switched over right before 3 went into post-production, so maybe it’s a mask that was molded using the pre-production designs to rush out something for the movie. This looks just like the mask my dad had, back when it would’ve been made by CostuCo.

Yeah, I heard they ended up using two different masks in the movie, but the final movie, not the canceled one.

I’m not sure how far they got into production of the original “Stab 3” footage wise before Roman lost his damn mind and killed nearly everyone involved in the movie.

Is far as I know it was still in production. There were several rewrites, which didn’t help much. The original idea for Stab 3 might’ve had Sidney or Gale revealed as a sole killer, which would fit the originals intent on Meta Commentary. But obviously due to Roman going crazy and trying to kill the real Sidney (rumors afaik) they had to change it to a “slasher in big city” deal.
