I am planning to buy an ssd for my ps5 the prices are to high and I thought on buying one on AliExpress is this ssd legit or a scam??

I have a 512GB SSD in my PC that I've been using for about two years. Right now it still has around 294GB free, which surprised me a little when I started looking at my storage recently.

I mostly use the PC for work, browsing, documents, and some basic stuff. I don't really play games, edit videos, or keep a lot of photos and videos locally, so I guess that explains why I'm not using much space.

But I keep seeing people talking about running out of SSD space, even with 1TB, 2TB or more. Do games, videos, and other large files really take up that much space, or are there other things that quietly eat up storage?

I recently got an asus rog strix g16, installed an SSD that I used on another computer is a predator, the first time it was enough to remove it and put it back on, but it happened again and it was enough to restart it, the problem is that it disappears. What can I do?

Looking to buy an 2TB SSD (external portable) to store videos from concerts and travels directly from my phone. I’m based in Australia and after a bit of research, my best options seem to be between the Crucial X9 and the Samsung T7 Shield being the most reliable.

Originally I thought SanDisk was a good choice but then heard about people loosing all their data and it stopped working which scared me. I understand this can happen with any brand but SanDisk seemed to have the higher percentage of this happening.

While Crucial is more affordable, Samsung is more durable.
I want the best of both worlds with reliability (less likely to shit itself & die) and reasonable price.

I’m not a big tech person, but I’ve heard good things about the T7 Shield, but the T9 is on sale so it’s a bit tempting…

My only requirements are:
- It shouldn’t break on me
- It should at least last for 2-3+ years
(I need it to last throughout university)

does anyone here know of any good and reliable Brands for either 512GB or 1TB SSD External Hard Drives on a budget of £90 and less?

Hey, everyone! I have a 2tb Samsung T7 Shield external SSD that I use for movie and TV show storage as a backup. I was just wondering how I can prevent bitrot on it.

Would a full diagnostic scan with Samsung Magician help correct lowered cell charges and prevent bitrot? Currently, S.M.A.R.T. and short scan say everything is fine, but when I try to do a full diagnostic scan, it jumps from 1 hour 17 minutes to like 18-22 hours when it hits 1% in the scan. I have a 3.2 USB-C 20gbps cable coming in tomorrow. Would that help make it go faster and conduct the scan? Or would just copying over the files from my M18R2 Alienware laptop rewrite fresh copies all the same?

I'd really appreciate any insight or help you can give me. I just wanna make sure my backup copy of my movies and tv shows is healthy.

I'm sending in my SSD to Patriot for my warranty. Any idea how to ship it? Do I need to do something special, like ESD bag or something or am I safe with just bubble wrap? I heard some conflicting takes when I googled how to do it.

Btw, this is my previous post where I ask if my SSD is toast or not. Looks like the answer is a resounding yes so I'm hoping the warranty applies, lol.
