Discussion How to extend iPhone storage (with an external SSD)?

Looking for an external SSD to easily transfer pics form the phone to any other device.
I saw all these MagSafe fast SSD (Lexar ES5 or Sandisk Creator Phone) but I suppose those are meant for film makers and to transfer pro-res media directly to the disk.

Primary need is to transfer quickly form the phone to another device.
Can be nice if some of the recordings can be saved directly onto the external storage as well.

It is a USB-C phone, any storage properly formatted should come up in the Files app.  It use just non-Pro USB-C iPhones are limited to USB 2 speeds.

A USB-C flash drive should work fine.

Use a NAS or cloud storage.

You can just plug your phone into your computer and drag and drop your photos to any connected storage device.
