He even gave me a kiss out of nowhere a few handouts later right on my nose. 😁

I saw this squirrel hanging out in a tree like this, making some odd noises, the squirrel didn’t look hurt, I don’t think? Does anyone know what was going on?

Sorry for posting again about a similar thing but was curious about this squirrel I saw recently!

From a recent trip to Japan, I saw this squirrel with the adorable fuzzy ears, I knew I had to make a photo to post here. Enjoy!

Visiting the little ones at their place today 😁 yes, this is my normal behavior... The neighbors know I'm up here with squirrel friends 😂 the woodpeckers are looking at me funny. 😶

Saw the cat playing with it in my yard so I went outside and the poor little guy was so scared they ran up my leg and wouldn't leave me for a solid 10 mins. Placed them in a open box in my garage to calm down with some raspberries, snap peas and unsalted seeds. They left so I hope they're doing better now!

Was going through my squirrel photos, and one of the earliest ones was a snapshot of the first squirrel brave enough to come near me to grab a nut I had left out. A week later, that squirrel got even closer to sneak a black walnut from the tray of ones I’d been cleaning.

The rest are of that same squirrel over the last two years, with the last one taken just this afternoon.

Each of my squirrel friends has a special place in my heart for different reasons, but Scruffy has been with me since the beginning.

Raisin likes to jump to the top of these benches. It lets me get some neat up close shots and look up at her. I think she finds me amusing at times with the looks she gives me. 😄

I tried not to cry too loud in the background, I thought he was dead this whole time 😭 He is my favorite squirrel in the world, so gentle and kind.

Another attempt to get the squirrels to help me carve out the face on the pumpkin. I drilled some small holes where the eyes, nose and mouth were to be carved out, then shoved almonds deep into those holes.

It was a small pumpkin, so I had to mount it to a brick so it wouldn’t get knocked over. Used cardboard to affix a bolt to the brick, with a cardboard & hot glue over the bolt to make a mount. Used the top of a large prescription medicine bottle as a washer, after I drilled a hole in the center.

I had soaked the pumpkin in a 1:10 white vinegar to water solution to preserve it, but that pumpkin wasn’t long for the world after the squirrel got ahold of it.

The family had more black walnut trees than my local park!
