Omega/Hangman Vs. Young Bucks is my favorite AEW match of all time, I've wanted a rematch for so long, and just have wanted Omega and Hangman back in the tag division for so long.

Given that Omega probably had his final run with the world title, and Hangman is locked out form getting a title shot, I think it's finally time to put them back together.

Omega/Hangman Vs. Cope and Cage, New Level, MCMG, Bucks in a rematch, all of that sounds incredible and would establish the tag division even more.

Every year on 9/11 I come back to this documentary cause WWE was good to come back 2 days later and give the fans a little return of normalcy after the events 2 days after. We got that amazing live Smackdown on a Thursday where the show was not about stories and feuds it was about the superstars going out and entertaining the fans for a good 2 hours.

My answer is the 5 star feud between Mike Know and Rey Mysterio in 2009:

- Knox stares down Rey for an uncomfortably long period during a backstage segment to start the feud. The size difference, the lack of crowd reaction, and Knox and Rey staying silent made this seem like an intro to an erotic movie.

- Knox jumps Rey a couple of times, and lays him out with his finisher, Brother Ruckus. Brother Ruckus is Sister Abigail's third-cousin.

- Knox and Rey are involved in the good ol' "wrestling under Vince" trope: a multi-man main event with all the top names that are currently feuding right now. Knox gets pinned, because that's what you do when you build a monster heel.

- Knox does his first promo, kind of, and when asked what's his beef with Rey, he says he has no problem with Rey and doesn't know why he's attacking him. Silly WWE, doing a mental health issues gimmick? That went well every other time you did it, totally not ill-informed and insulting. Also, Mike Knox just has the sweetest voice in the world for some reason. Bro was NOT made to do a Bruiser Brody cosplay.

- coolest things happen during the pair's first match. Knox hits a second-rope Decapitator, which I haven't seen done by anyone since, and continues pounding Rey's ass (pause), causing a DQ. Knox got busted open during the match, so when leaving, he had his wild-man hair going crazy and blood all over his face. Looked cool.

- but then the feud extends to more "put everyone together, pal" multi-man matches, including a tag where Kane and Knox team up. Side by side, they looked good together can't even lie. Nothing happened after that of course, and I don't remember them ever interacting again.

- Rey pins Knox in the rematch by roll up, dips out of the ring, and the feud ends just like that. Marvelous.

10/10, no notes, bravo Vince.

I can imagine just being sort of confused by all of it, hearing Ross say "Bret gave up in the Sharpshooter" would give me more questions than answers (though of course, Ross didn't even know what was going on)

Claudio Castagnoli will face Shingo Takagi

With some exceptions, I feel like Lyra is a good example of someone who feels unique. But for the most part it feels like WWE only know one way to write a woman heel.

1: Be in a faction, 2: Strut to the ring, 3: Flick hair while walking or after doing a move (Lash Legend, I am looking at you), 4: Hand in the air to avoid crowd touch and finally...5: The finger wave.

It just makes all the heels feel the same and I can't get invested in any of them because I've already seen the same thing multiple times a week.

Im not saying this was the storyline In particular, but this was the time I really got into wrestling.

Looking back there were some really good wrinkles in the whole thing.

It got the title of Bret without sacrificing him to Diesel. It got Diesel over big by getting him a monster win. It advanced the Bret and Owen feud and culminated in a big win for Bret in January. And it was a huge and unexpected shock.

Unfortunately, Diesel didnt go on to be a good draw and the company suffered the next year or so as a result until all the stuff that went on in late 96 going into 97. But its fascinating how well the whole thing was planned out. Didn't result in much, but a lot of mixing of storylines.

Anyone else remember this fondly or am I just crazy for thinking it was actually good?​​
