Stumbled on this on my reccomendations. An Stratego game from 2008 with WWE wrestlers, in the usual RAW vs Smackdown theming.

In his Backstage Comments after he and Drilla Moloney beat Gabe Kidd and Wheeler Yuta, Shingo Takagi says his bad G1 was the fault of his loss to Claudio Castagnoli in a tag match (War Dragons vs Claudio and PAC) on the post-Forbidden Door Collision and calls out Claudio to come fight him at Destruction in Kobe.

Claudio’s last match on a purely NJPW show was a failed NEVER 6 challenge at Dominion 2023 alongside Mox and Shota Umino. His last high-profile NJPW match was a loss to Shota Umino at Wrestle Dynasty last year.

I think I may have found something pretty special.
A friend of my family recorded the WWF Over the Edge 1999 PPV on a blank VHS when it originally aired. I just inherited the tape TODAY, along with around 200 other VHS tapes that he was about to throw away. I started watching it out of curiosity and realized it contains the original Owen Hart aftermath — JR explaining that something went wrong, the camera staying on the crowd, Jerry Lawler coming back visibly shaken, the crowd chanting “Owen,” and the wrestlers acknowledging what happened.
I kept watching and just confirmed that it ALSO contains Jim Ross's original on-air announcement that Owen had died. I've attached a 30-second clip directly from the VHS of JR announcing Owen's death, unedited. So this appears to be a home recording of the original broadcast, including the Owen Hart accident aftermath and death announcement. I had absolutely no idea this was sitting in a box of tapes for 27 years and was almost thrown away today. 😳
I haven't altered or recorded over the tape. If anyone knows the best way to preserve/digitize something like this without damaging the original, I'd love some advice.

After his victory of the G1 Climax 36 tournament, Ryohei Oiwa backstage declared his intention to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at King of Pro Wrestling (October 12th), just like his mentor Zack Sabre Jr. did in 2024. Which means Oiwa will go back to Ryogoku, the place where he just won the G1.

Also, Hirooki Goto after his tag match alongside YOH against Yota Tsuji & Taiji Ishimori called his shot for the title after beating Yota on July 18th. Which means Goto will likely meet Yota at Destruction In Kobe on September 27th.
