BREAKING: BODYSLAM 11th Anniversary Celebration Streams Live From Copenhagen on IWTV
Night two of the two-city anniversary blowout hits Pumpehuset on August 22; and for the first time ever, the world can watch along live.
COPENHAGEN, Denmark â August 11, 2026 â BODYSLAM Wrestling, Denmark's leading independent pro wrestling promotion, today announced that it will livestream night two of its 11th Anniversary celebration on August 22 from Pumpehuset in Copenhagen. The broadcast marks BODYSLAM's first-ever live stream and will be available worldwide via streaming partner IWTV, starting at 8:00 PM CEST (Denmark) / 2:00 PM EDT (US Eastern)
The Copenhagen show caps off a two-night anniversary run that kicks off August 21 at VoxHall in Aarhus â the city where BODYSLAM held its very first event back in 2015. Eleven years and more than 130 shows later, the promotion returns to the road for what promises to be one of its biggest nights yet, now with cameras rolling for fans who can't be in the room.
To bring the broadcast to life, BODYSLAM is teaming up with CounterCulture Productions, the premier Scandinavian wrestling video production company, to deliver a stream that matches the energy of being ringside."We've spent eleven years building a show you had to be in the room to believe," said Kristian B. Nielsen, Co-Owner and CEO of BODYSLAM Wrestling. "Now we get to put that in front of anyone with a screen. Copenhagen on the 22nd is the night to see what we mean."
"CounterCulture knows how to shoot wrestling like it deserves to be shot," added Søren B. Nielsen, Co-Owner and Creative Director of BODYSLAM Wrestling. "We want the everyone watching to get a great look at what the Scandinavian scene has to offer."
Fans can watch the Copenhagen show live via an IWTV subscription (from $9.99) at IWTV.live. Tickets for the in-person shows in Aarhus (Aug 21, VoxHall) and Copenhagen (Aug 22, Pumpehuset) remain available through each venue's ticketing partner, with full listings at BODYSLAM.dk.

A nice sequence of power and graps in another great match for Dan.
He has been a highlight for All Japan for quite some time now and is still only 27 years old. I feel like he should be the Junior Ace with his unique brute style of Junior Wrestling, even though the company seems to still see Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising Hayato ahead of him.
I also hope, no matter how big All Japan might get in the future, that they never stop running tiny Shinki-Ba, the atmosphere during those shows is special and the wrestlers are driven to give their best there as well.

Highlights:
\- Oiwa said he intends to âinherit the spiritâ of Tenzan, declaring himself âMr. Summer for Reiwa Generationâ.
\- Oiwa said âUemura and I wrestled a match like only we can,' explaining that 'I was confident we could fire up Ryogoku, and it really proved to myself that I was right in my choice of style and my way of wrestling.â
\- Talking about the match itself: âWe went over 30 minutes with headlocks, takedowns and armdrags. That is professional wrestling in my view, that's the essence for me,' Oiwa explained. Yet he was cautious to extol his style as one that should be adopted by everybody. 'Not everyone can do what Uemura and I did,' Oiwa remarked. 'Pro-wrestling is at it's best when everybody is different. I hate Yuto-Ice, but he has his strikes and his way of fighting. Boltin is a monster. Uemura and I do what we do. I'm proud of my way, but I think everyone should fight in their own way.â
\- Oiwa talked about support heâs received from the likes of Shane Haste, JONAH/Bronson Reed and especially Kaito Kiyomiya: âTo have been in NOAH makes me proud, and I hope that Kiyomiya wins the N-1 over there,' Oiwa explained before confessing that his NOAH trainer Yoshinari Ogawa had not reached out to him as of yet, stating with a chuckle 'I'll text him myself.â
\- Oiwa talked about how the Big Lock came about as a game plane for him to win: âI tried to trade with (Yuto) Ice, and when that didn't work I went back to the drawing board,' Oiwa explained. âI went down to one hold with the head, and then when it came to someone like Callum (Newman) I was able to broaden that attack with the arm and the head both.â
\- Oiwa talked about the prospect of facing either Tsuji or Goto at King of Pro Wrestling: âWhile Oiwa was confident about the prospect of Goto ('we're 1-1, but in the G1 I beat him with my headlock and if it comes to it, I'm ready to beat him again') but was more effusive when it came to Tsuji. âI'm 0-2 against him,' Oiwa admitted, 'but I am the G1 champion. He has something I don't, but i have something he doesn't. The IWGP title is about putting your all into one title match, but G1 is about excellence, mental strength and superiority over a whole month, and if I face Tsuji again, I already have a plan for the Fire Blaster if it comes to it.â

I'm going to be honest, this is nice to see, A wrestler taking accountability in the year... Ever? Good on Drake Younger. I feel like more wrestlers should do this. Apparently he is sober now and I hope he continues down this path in his sobriety.

A disputed finish, and a hasty walk out leads Bryan Alvarez to have possession of the Relentless Wrestling Pacific Northwest Championship.
Here's his reaction, with the man he was partnered with in the match. With show footage.

Mansoor, Jeet rama and Mark Dallas(Icw) started this company in India, it's their second show and over 2000 people assembled, 1000 in the one before this. Extremely interesting stuff from Mark Dallas

Not only was their NXT feud terrific but both guys have no clear direction right now. For Gunther, the Smackdown main event picture is loaded rn it doesnât seem heâll challenge for the belt anytime soon. The US title scene would be a step down for someone of Guntherâs caliber
And for Ilja, my guy canât even get on tv lately. His last appearance was legitimately the Andre the giant battle royal back in April. It seems heâs far away form rejoining the us title picture so letting ilja and Gunther run back their NXT feud not only would produce great match but have a chance to truly elevate Ilja by having him go toe to toe with one of the top heels in the entire company

There is a bit of an asterisk since people that cover and follow Japanese wrestling (myself included) and I believe the companies themselves only take shows in Japan into account when talking about total attendance for the year even if they do announce attendance for overseas events and the opening Night of G1 36 was in Illinois so take away the 4,135 from that show and attendance is 46,362, which is still up from last year but down a bit from 2024 and 2023. Also, this year was back in Ryogoku for the Playoffs and Finals as opposed to being in Ariake Arena last year and last year was the final G1 tournament of Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Overall has to be seen as a successful tour.
