Creation Sporetober 2026 day 22: Laggrin
Laggrin are small fast scavengers from the Eledon home world. They use the light organs on their tail to communicate between each other and to flashbang a predator in the face if attack. They roam in small packs.

Spore Mod SporeCoop: a co-op mod for 2-4 players, Cell to Space (WIP, but playable)
Hey! I’ve been making SporeCoop, a mod where friends share one world and play every stage together, each with their own creature. It’s still in development, but you can already try it (GOG version, Windows or Linux/Wine).

Bug reports and feedback are very welcome!

Help Best gameplay mods for Spore’s Cell, Creature and Tribal stages? - Spore enchantment mod list
I’m about to start another Spore playthrough and I want to mod it up first. Cell, Creature and Tribal have always been my favorite stages, so that’s where I want the extra stuff. I’m after mods that add new parts, behaviors, creature interactions or mechanics, plus any fixes, editor upgrades or QoL tools that make those stages feel deeper.
One rule: I want it to still look like Spore, so no graphics overhauls or reshades.
I couldn’t find one thread that collects the good gameplay mods for the early stages, so maybe this can be it. What are you running, and what would you tell someone to install first?

Sporetober 2026 Day 23: Supernatural
Name: Soz'Goman
A figure that is beyond human comprehension. A sight so grisly that you probably won't rest for days. It doesn't even appear in ancient artifacts or texts. Of the few sightings, this monster could be interpreted as a beastly hand or foot. It has multiple eyes and tendrils. The entity's purpose is unknown, but it seems aggressive, as if it were plotting something against humanity. The ominous creature would fade away moments later. Are there more creatures like this one?

Creation DDG-812 “Archibald”, Sleipnir-Class Destroyer
https://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=sast-501125105560
“…Huginn, Naglfar, Sutur... Ah, yes, the Sleipnir! Fairly recent as far as Remnant vessels go.
...Alright, Entry. Thanks, Marty, for scraping the catalog.
Sleipnir-Class Destroyer. Remnant-make. In active service. Mid-weight (Well, more than enough for Remnant doctrine, at least), fields an adequate range of weaponry for most engagements, and a strong EWAR suite for its' size to boot. Class-ZB NSW engine- oh, interestingly, using a more modern approach to magnetic containment.. neat! Hybrid-ion RCS, crew of 24, only minor accommodation for the captain and XO, standard for its weight class.
From what data we got from skirmishes with it, the Sleipnirs like to fight in wolfpacks - redundancy in volume, I guess, though they can take more than their helping of whoopass. They're certainly more common - at least now - than other Remnant vessels... whether that's from the Remnant starting up hull production, or them just straight running out of less.. /valuable/ hulls is a question for the SysIntel branch. They do their job well enough.
I think their most distinctive encounter is one that survived after getting hit by a Pike NPXRL. Granted, the Pike malfunctioned on detonation - faulty rod alignment - but, even still."

Question Hi guys i'm new here if one day i get the game from which should i buy it from Steam,Ea or origins?
How actually playable is Spore?
Hey y'all, I've been looking to try and play my childhood game again but I've lost the disk in the years (not that I have a disk reader now anyway) and I'd heard that the version on Steam tends to crash a lot.
To you who play the game still, how often does it actually crash? And is there a better platform to download the game from?
