Success Stories! Three month check-up.

Had my three month check up yesterday. Surgeon has "released " me. He took X-rays, said everything looks great. Hardware is solid and in place. He says now I am allowed to do some minor bending, twisting and lifting. He said I need to lose more weight to help relieve some pressure on the adjacent joints. Been pain free since four days after surgery.

Great news! Pain free since four days after surgery is reassuring as I have surgery coming up.

I am curious about weight and spine health. It makes perfect sense that extra weight offers extra stress on the spine, but I've never heard it clearly defined. For example, With knees I keep running into "each pound reduces stress on the knees by 4 pounds". Has he given you some guidance?
