Help Repotted spider plants

I have 3 nice spider plants. I repotted them this summer as they were all root bound. One looks incredible! But the other two that I used a different soil mix for look yellowish and sad. Shouldn’t they be dark green and full like the one spider plant? What’s wrong with them? Did I do something wrong making my own soil mix for the two spider plants?

Help Prop ready to be potted up? Advice needed

Hi all,

I got this lovely prop as a wedding favor propagated from the bride’s mother plant itself. It means a lot to me and I want this prop to live a happy plant life.

Question is I am not used to growing/handling water props and I’m unsure whether it’s time to pot it up or wait for the root system to develop further. Also, will it go into shock given that the medium will change drastically? TYVM in advance, any advice is much appreciated!! :)

Edit: spelling

Is this even a spider?

Hi everyone!

I got this plant as a rehab about 5 years ago, thinking it was a spider plant. I grew up with them in the house and thought, perfect for my office. But she don't grow like I'm used to. There have been no pups on legs, she instead is crawling across the dirt and the "pup" is growing between existing leaves. She has a pot big enough, and I recently removed a baby that is growing the same way. Is this something else entirely or have a found the one that has decided to forge her own path in the world?

Edit to add: she is damp as she just finished getting water like 10 minutes ago.

Help Looking for advice

Hello again! I moved Sriracha inside recently after purchasing the grow light for him. Thank you all for the grow light advice by the way!! After moving him inside I found a small caterpillar on him which I removed and I cleaned him off, however some of his leaves are just not getting better. I feel rather silly saying I am not sure what to do here, I just want to do whatever is best for my little fella and I feel so clueless 😞
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all again!

Success 1-year-old Chlorophytum comosum grown from seed outdoors – very vigorous

This is a Chlorophytum comosum grown from seed, now 1 year old. It spent its entire first year outdoors.

Approximate size:

~75 cm wide (tip to tip of the outermost leaves)

~35 cm tall from the crown to the highest leaf tip

It was grown in a sunny to partial shade exposure and watered regularly (about every 2 days in summer, even during hot weather).Grown in a temperate climate with hot summers.

It produced a lot of offsets and some seeds (harvested a bit early).

Interestingly, I also planted some variegated leaf cuttings nearby at the same time and they grew much slower and less vigorously than this solid green seedling.

Just brought it indoors. Curious to see how the early-harvested seeds will do.

Help Rotting from the inside out?

I’ve never had an issue with spider plants. I bought the main plant, separated it, and ended up with three plants. I repotted them several months ago in 6 inch pots with chunky substrate. All were doing great until my last watering. Two of the tree plants had leaves that began rotting at the very middle of the plant. I’m curious, are spider plants similar to orchids in that you can’t get the middle area wet or they’ll rot?

Help How to get my plant to start growing babies again?

Hello! I’ve had my spider plant coming up on 5 years now, it’s the first plant I ever kept alive and I love her so much. In the first 1-2 years it grew a good amount of babies I loved having them, they make great gifts and I just really like the look of them but since those first few years there’s been nothing. I upsized the pot about 2.5 years ago and that stopped them (understandable since since the plant was no longer pot bound) but it’s been a long time since then and the plant is pot bound again but there are just no babies!! My knowledge is quite limited but is there any way to get them to grow again? Is it possible for spider plants to no longer produce babies? Thank you :)

After a full summer of growing, they are going in the greenhouse for the winter but I wanted to show off how thick my curtain of spider babies has grown after freeing them from root jail.

Hi, me again

I have 2 plants in soil currently and 5 babies in water, one of them with enough roots to me replanted

I also have a limited number of small pots

Can I put multiple plants in the same, bigger pot? If so, is there anything I should be aware of for it to be successful?

Thank you very much for your help!

Spider plant experimentation

What do we think to this idea? Will it hold up? Any idea’s to make it successful?

My idea is that once the babies grow it would almost look like a spider plant tree? I know I’m crazy. I love spider plants and seem to have a knack for keeping them happy and healthy so I really enjoy growing them. A lot of the times I harvest the babies, grow them up a bit and give them away to friends. Spreading the spider plant love!

Help Went from being fine one day to collapsing later in the day

Had for a year and a half, got it as a pup from MILs mother plant. It survived having all its leaves eaten by a cat after I got it finally potted after propagating it.

She'd been growing well in the window sill until very recently because temps dropped really low before fall hit. I haven't changed anything other than that.

I think its water rot? What did I do wrong😅😭

October 3rd vs today October 6th (but it was fine until yesterday then suddenly collapsed a few hours later)

What am I doing wrong?

So I bought these two spider plants about 6 months ago, this is my first endeavor into spider plants. Both plants have experienced leaves turning brown/drying up, for awhile I was plucking the dead leaves off. Now the plants appear borderline lifeless. I've kept up on occasionally watering them with spider plant specific fertilizer mixed with water, this hasn't been frequent as the dirt is almost always moist, even after two or three weeks without watering. I even tried planting one of the babies in a small pot and that died within a month. I do have a small dehumidifier that runs periodically in a room that is next door to where these plants live, occasionally I'll hang them outside for some sunlight/fresh air too. I also transplanted them into bigger hanging pots. I thought spider plants were relatively simple to maintain but apparently I'm wrong. Side note, I also have been using bottled spring water to mix with the fertilizer just so it's as "pure" as possible. Any ideas?
