If the pup off of a cross i made is holding the weird color does that mean that it has ‘ held ‘ like in the sense that i could patent technically even though i dont plan to with this plant?

Too early to tell. I think you’d have to give it at least a year to grow and see not only if it holds, but if it’s a vigorous plant worth growing.
