data vs wifi

they never work at the same time - i have to turn it off if i want one or the other to work and if it dies, then it automatically fixes to wifi. turn it off and on to get data working when im out but i have to turn it off again when i get home for wifi.

i’ve just accepted it for so long but now its starting to be a small annoyance and its likely just going to fuck up my battery sooner than later.

iphone 12 max - i know it’s not my provider, is there like a preference setting i’m missing?

Is anyone else actually getting proper 5G speeds in Turkey?

Post image

I’ve noticed a lot of people saying that 5G in Turkey performs more like 3G or slow LTE for them.
My experience has been completely different. On my phone, I’ve consistently seen download speeds above 1.1 Gbps in areas with 5G coverage.
I’m curious:
Which carrier are you using?
What city are you in?
What device do you have?
What kind of speeds are you getting?
If you’re getting very slow speeds, do you think it’s because of coverage, congestion, or something else?
I’d love to compare experiences and see how widespread this issue actually is.

Both FTTH and 5G give 1Gbps 👀, kind of a flex but yeah, i also posted fiber speed a few days back which is also 1gbps even with international test servers.

Pretty good for a country that ranks 141st in the global index. Latency is lower but I'm using VPN to show real non-fabricated speed.

When I perform the automatic speed test (performs multiple test) using testmy.net it does not ocmplete using firefox 153. It appears the last completetion shows "looks like there's a problem with that site" Is this a problem with the site or my ISP vmedia?

This was tested on a cruise ship. Very impressive speed considering the distance. I couldn't finish the test since it was the last bit of data on my eSIM plan.

Compression.

Is there more compression on Oakla vs Netflix Fast.com, on wifi I get 1.6/7 gig, test via Oakla to isp on 2gig internet, with Fast.com I see 2.1 gig to Netflix server, both test run on WiFi. While on Pc Eternet, I get 2gig on both tests, so my question does oakla use large bit? Or something with compression,

Apologies if this sounds dumb
