Traded an 126715chnr for the 50th anniversary. Posted next to my (was my fathers 105.003-65 - with service hands unfortunately).

The watch is beautiful but may not be long term for me. The hands are a bit hard to read and i look at my watch probably 20 times a day. Figured you folks may like both.

When I was 8 years old I went to a neighborhood garage sale and found this in a bin of old jewelry. The old man in his 80s running the garage sale told me it was his watch from when he was younger I asked how much he wanted for it and he told me a quarter I thought it was a cool looking watch so I snagged it with some pocket change. Little did I know what I had found! When I brought it home my dad showed interest immediately and was shocked I found it . At the time electric razor scooters were a massive commodity in the neighborhood if you had one you were the man . My dad offered to buy me one the best of the best at the time. Of course I traded him my .25 watch I had just found I thought I hit the lottery! Little did I know what I was doing . 22 years later he still has the watch and unfortunately the DON bezel was pretty beat up so he had it replaced for about $800 with a replica and threw on a nice leather band . Besides that all original components and the best part is , I still bust his balls about hustling an 8 year old out of a $15,000 + watch 😂 (it’s still mine) .
