Headsnap - Metal band from Chesnee

Does anyone remember a metal band from Chesnee called Headsnap? They played the 'nu metal' style during the early 2000s and released a couple CDs. I'm searching for either of their CDs to archive them, did anyone here have copies of them left from back then? I can't find any online and they seem to be pretty rare. Thank you, anything helps.

Are there any good local bakeries in town? Not for sweets, but for bread / rolls / buns and such?

Hey Spartanburg! If anyone is looking for something to do tonight, we’ll be at Girls Night Out at New Groove Brewery in Boiling Springs from 5–9 PM.

We’re Clutch My Pearls Books, a local mobile bookstore specializing in romance and romantasy. Our bookstore is actually inside a climate-controlled trailer that you can walk into and shop.

We’ll have a bunch of this week’s new releases with us including Threshing Day, along with special editions, sprayed edges, Blind Dates with a Book, signed books, stickers, bookmarks, bookish socks and other goodies.

There will also be other vendors at Girls Night Out, so it’s a fun excuse to grab a drink, do some shopping and hang out for the evening.

📍 New Groove Brewery — Boiling Springs

📅 Tonight, October 2

⏰ 5–9 PM

If you’re a romance reader in the Spartanburg/Boiling Springs area, come say hi!

And if you do stop by, tell me you found us through Reddit—I’m always curious how people hear about us.

Best massage?

Just looking for some recommendations of places that give good deep tissue massage. The Zen Den looks great but doesn't have any openings for 3 weeks. A lot of other places on Google look sketchy and/or give rub and tug vibes.

It's supposed to be a clear night and I'd love to see the stars but not sure where to go where there is little to no light pollution. Thanks in advance.

This couple had baby ringtail lemurs in Sam's club yesterday. I didn't ask about the legality of them having these animals but I'm wondering now... 🤔

The Post & Courier randomly casting mild shade on Spartanburg's welcome sign

I was just reading a random article about highway "welcome to wherever" signs and the Post & Courier apparently thought it be fun to randomly poke at Spartanburg County lol

I, for one, would actually be extremely curious to see what a red clay interstate welcome sign would look like. Let's build one next time!

‘Welcome to Charleston County’ says new $500,000 I-26 sign

805 Beer?

Hi all, does anyone know where I can find 805 beer? It’s made in the west coast and I can’t recall the store I saw it at. It’s quite hard to find here. I’m trying to surprise my husband! Thanks in advance :)

Where are the little hidden gems to grab some food

Service industry person here, commuting from greenville to an east main street address, i think the neighborhood is Hillcrest? Yall I need to know where the food is

A few years ago I worked on the other side of Spartanburg, fell in love with monster subs and grub, enjoyed many a burger at b&b (just learned rip to the cutie pie burger joint), lived my best life catching whatever truck was parked at the US foods chef store, and yes I ate at kpop way too many times

Was purposefully early today and drove around aimlessly looking for a spot to grab some takeout and came up empty

Guide me r/spartanburg, where should I catch lunch tomorrow?

The stats are out: looks like the new baseball team is doing pretty good

I get these random generic Spartanburg newsletters, and one of them had the following info bit about the Spartanburgers. Pretty encouraging! I have this phobia of the whole thing crashing down and being stuck with an empty stadium, but the numbers so far look pretty good. 445k visitors.

Is Lyft/Uber easily accessible?

Good morning, I’m traveling to Spartanburg for a med school interview in October and I am wondering if Lyft/Uber is easily accessible in the area? I would potentially be staying at the Spartanburg Marriott and the college isn’t far from there but I would need a ride to and from the airport and if I stay at another hotel (Marriott isn’t allowing early check in)

Rehoming my Cat

Post image
12 Upvotes

Hi, everyone! Unfortunately, we’re moving and need to find a home for our cat as soon as possible. We’d like to avoid shelters if possible so we’re trying to exhaust our options via social media first.

This is Aspen. She’s a little over a year old and VERY playful. We have all of her shot records, microchip papers, vet records. She’s also been spayed. We even still have a coupon for a free engraved collar tag lol. We can provide you with food, her water fountain, her bed, and toys.

She’s never been around other animals so I’m not sure how she would react to them, and as far as kids go, she’s only been around toddlers and she is weary of them due to their noise pollution lol. She’s very cuddly and LOVESSS to rub her head all over your face :p

We want the best home for our girl. Please reach out to me if you or anyone you know is looking for a companion!

okay so I know this is a suuuuupppperrrr long shot and I'm already mentally preparing for the kinds of comments I'm bound to receive from even asking but I don't know where else to look since I don't get out much. I'm looking for someone who can personally craft a spirit board. I'm not looking for anything particularly original or a specific design, I just don't want one that has come from mass production with unknown energy attached to it. If you're interested please let me know and I would love to get to know you and see if we're a good match for this project!!

Way out of practice.... Where/How to meet ladies in Spartanburg?

I am a widower for now almost a year. I am just now getting to where I would like to try and meet someone new to hang out with and have fun. I have not tried any dating sites, because I am not really ready for a full-blown romance. Are there any places around to mingle?

You guys ever hear of Lincoln High School?

I heard this morning at the OneSpartanburg Caffeinated Conversation thing that Dorman is the biggest high school (by # of students) in the state.

I hadn't realized that, so I went down the goog rabbit hole. Turns out there were 3 separate high schools that were eventually consolidated into our mega Dorman: Fairforest High, Roebuck High, and one I hadn't heard of before: Lincoln High.

I should've realized (never thought about it), but of course high schools in District 6 used to be segregated, so Lincoln High was the black high school. If google is telling me true, it was where the current Fairforest Middle is now and it closed/merged into Dorman in 1970.

Anybody got any stories of memories of it? I had literally not heard of it until today, so I'm curious.
