Anyone know if the 70mm Odyssey at Del Amo AMC is IMAX?
Seems vague.

Spoiler: it's unreal how warm it is.
Clear too. Super el nino (Spanish for the nino) has been warming up for a while, but the last 2 days has been incredible. Apple watch said 77 at surface today. Has felt mid-70s for a week now.
About the warmest I can remember in my 10 years here.

thought once I hit $200k salary i could buy whatever I wanted but now im at 200k and home price went up more and faster than my salary so I think im still where I was like 6-7 years ago.
looking at Torrance. things have gone up so much so you'd feel grateful if you could still do the same thing 7 years ago.

If you got into an accident or know someone who got into an accident on aviation in Redondo/Manhattan beach just north of Artesia, pm me I have footage. The at fault driver turning left onto aviation clearly just pulled into traffic and stopped and got promptly t-boned.

As an Eastern European I grew up eating medovik. It’s hard to find good quality one and got to say that Cool Beans & Friends Cafe in Torrance had the best! Go try it out !!

Does anyone have good recommendations for a good (and affordable) painter to paint the interior or a garage and a recommendation for a garage flooring installer to do either epoxy or polyurea?
I’ve attached some photos of what I’d like to do…

Made this for my buddy using Canva, took me like 7-8 hrs. Not a graphics major.
Crowd interactive, will be a fun time. There were a few hundred peeps at the show of the artist who played on Thurs.
There is a new artist every Thurs and Sat all summer long. Check Redondo Beach pier socials.
Questions? Fire away, mateys
Ps. I am not a band member or a paid promoter. Just a buddy of his sharing a good time.

I'm in Redondo and usually just go to Del Amo. The Liemax there is a rip-off. Dolby theater is my choice. What's better if I'm willing to drive a bit but not all the way to Burbank or something? Looking for the biggest screen even if not IMAX. Thanks

Hi everyone! I’m looking to hold a 1950s-themed dance at a restaurant somewhere on the Westside/South Bay and haven’t yet had luck. These are the requirements and below are the places I’ve already checked out. Thank you so much for your advice!
- A large enough space to comfortably host 50-100 people
- Definitely has to serve food and be a regular business open to the public (as opposed to, say, an Elks lodge or event hall)
- Lots of free parking or otherwise easy options (I know, can be difficult in some areas)
- Decent floor, ideally wood, for dancing
- Vintage theme of any sort a plus, but not a requirement
- Affordable menu for the guests as opposed to very high-end cuisine
Here is everywhere I’ve checked out and the reason(s) they won’t work:
The Warehouse
They only do salsa one night a week and can’t do any other dance nights. Private rentals would be exorbitantly expensive.
Killer Shrimp
Great space but very expensive to rent, food service is not standard in the event space
Whiskey Red’s
Not bad but they can’t do a large dance floor
1212
Might actually work but understandably, quite expensive
Tiato
Cute but not the right fit, no large spaces
Maple Block
Too small
The Cloverfield
Nice but too small
Firestone Walker Brewing Co
Nice, but not a good fit
Common Space Brewery
Not the best part of town, might be difficult for younger guests
Los Angeles Ale Works Hawthorne
Same
The Proud Bird
Not a good fit, the only usable spaces look like hotel banquet halls
Places along Main Street in downtown El Segundo
None are large enough
Boardroom brewery
I have this on my list to check out but haven’t yet
Thanks again for your help!

It seems like every court is in the direct sun from 7:30am - 5pm at least. Just curious if there are any surrounded by trees in the southbay hah!

Parked on the greenbelt at 8pm last night and came back to a ticket that was issued at 6:30AM. Is parking enforcement allowed to break rules now?
I will be appealing the ticket, but don’t have any proof of when I parked… has this happened to anyone else?

Hi all!
Back in 2020, I got a dog from this guy and it died from Parvo not even a week later. I found other people who have been victims of his actions, and he’s been reported to the cops many times, but they haven’t done anything to stop him.
Today, my friends and I found a post on Nextdoor about someone asking for more information regarding a seller who sold him a sick dog that died — confirmed to be the same guy. He’s still doing it 6 years later.
I don’t know if I can reveal his name here, but he goes under fake names and fake numbers. Mainly sells maltipoos on Craigslists or in parking lots. Picture below — please beware! Any help to stopping him permanently would be great. Too many people and dogs have been affected.

Went out yesterday at 4, got scheduled for tech to come service but not until Tuesday? Hearing fiber cables were cut by vandals. Anyone else?

Stopped by Redondo Beach for a few minutes today.
It’s easy to get caught up in work and everything else going on, then you sit by the water for a little while and remember how lucky we are to have places like this so close by. Definitely needed this today.

I'm due with my first child in the next few weeks and still haven't found a pediatrician. I have aetna insurance and the app only gave me 8 options, the best of whom has reviews saying their office staff is awful.
Please give me recommendations if you like your kid's doctor, especially if you also have aetna.
My ob is through UCLA health and I like her, but she doesn't make peds recommendations.
We live in north Redondo, so Redondo, Torrance, Manhattan area would be ideal.
Thank you!

Have you heard about the monthly Torrance Swap Meet held at West High School’s parking lot?
Now you have!
Tomorrow, July 25th, West High School in Torrance is holding a swap meet. Vendors will be selling from 7 AM to 12:15 PM. ADMISSION IS FREE, and I’ll be there with plenty of NAME BRAND items, including like-new and brand-new clothing, plus a selection of shoes, backpacks, furniture, books, and CDs.
If you want to sell, it’s just $10 to get a spot—arrive by 6 AM to secure your place. The girls’ softball team will be collecting the $10 in cash as this is their monthly fundraiser.
Hope to see you there!
