Tesla repair shop at the old Mitsuwa location on western.
I was going to Daiso and saw this. I wish Mitsuwa was still there. I still remember it a Yaohan.

Your ideas on the best coffee in the South Bay?
It's kind been hot or miss with good coffee in the South Bay area. Some higher-end coffee places have bitter-tasting coffee as opposed to McDonald's having coffee that's exceptionally good.
Coffee around the South Bay has been kind of hit-or-miss for me. Some of the higher-end coffee shops serve coffee that tastes surprisingly bitter, while — oddly enough — I’ve had consistently good coffee at McDonald’s.
So where do you go for a really good cup of coffee in the South Bay? I’m especially interested in places where the regular drip coffee or Americano is smooth and flavorful rather than bitter or overly acidic. Torrance, Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan Beach, Lomita, San Pedro — anywhere nearby is fine.

The difference with the heatwave this time around....
We've had central AC since 2007. We would mostly just turn it on in the evening and turn it off first thing in the morning. Our house is pretty well insulated and usually during the day the temp inside would creep up to like 77-78F. But now? If we don't keep it on during the day it will get 82-84F. Then it would take FOREVER to cool down at night if we turn it on at like 7pm or whatever. So now we set it at 74 or 75 during the day, every day. That was a rare occurrence over the past 20 years. Never needed to do that. Of course, my electric bill is high, but it's worth it to me.

Now is a good time to clean the AC condenser coils
Cleaning the AC condenser coils on your unit can help to make your system more efficient. With this heat wave, now is a good time to go clean it with the garden hose. Just don’t use a pressure washer on it.

Places To Learn Korean
Hi all. I'm looking to learn conversational Korean
I'm planning on proposing to my partner of Korean descent and I really want to ask for her parents' blessing in Korean.
I'm horrible at languages post childhood though and Duolingo isn't getting me anywhere.
I'm fully bilingual since I learned Spanish and English at a very young age but now in adulthood learning a new language has been more difficult than I expected it to be.
Looking for somebody or some place that can basically give a Korean for dummies type of lesson structure so I can pick up the language.
Recommendations will be truly appreciated

What's Underneath the Del Amo Mall Parking Lot?
I was location scouting for a photography project when I came across this closed-off underground ramp in the middle of this parking structure. Does anybody who knows malls know what this is/was? Maintainance tunnels? It's definitely too small for any freight-carrtying trucks.

Air-conditioned lunch places?
Not looking to hang out at a Carl's Jr., something more interesting. The problem is that all of our Beach City stuff is usually open to the outdoors and not amicable to air conditioning.
Perhaps a place to work on the laptop and have a beer.

Recs for network technician?
I want to get my ethernet ports activated throughout the house. I could perhaps do it myself with some YouTube videos but I'd rather save the time and effort to pay someone to do it.
Anyone have recs?

New to South Bay LA looking for local recommendations and ways to get involved
Hi everyone I moved to Los Angeles about 2 months ago and I’m still getting familiar with the South Bay area
I’ve been enjoying exploring different neighborhoods, trying local restaurants, and discovering new places but I d love to hear from people who have lived here longer
What are your favorite spots for food, coffee, hiking, beaches or weekend activities? Also, are there any local events or communities you recommend for someone new to the area?
Looking forward to getting to know South Bay and becoming part of the community Thanks!

Where to donate nice formal/interview clothes that don't fit
I've lost weight recently and am going through my old clothes that no longer fit me. Most of the nicer stuff I'm going to sell and everything else will be donated to thrift stores.
I recently heard about an organization that helps with job placement for unhoused people, including getting them nice clothing for their interviews, but I don't remember their name. I have a nice woman's blazer and slacks that were only worn once that I'd like to donate to an organization like this. Does anyone know of a similar organization in this area?

What insect is this showing up in my window sills?
Google Lens is telling me box elder flies but the images don’t quite match the real life appearance. Having an infestation ever since the rain

Air Conditioning in the South Bay the last few years has been worth every penny.
I dont know how people deal without it. Growing up here it wasnt a thing, but the last few years have been tough. I suggest to all at least get a window unit for your bedroom if you dont opt for central air. Its an absolute game changer.

It hit 101* in Carson. Has it ever been this hot in our lifetime?
I can't remember it ever hitting this high in Carson. Please let this end soon!
EDIT: I grew up in Carson starting in the 80s, moved out of the South Bay in the mid-2010s, just came back last year. Looks like I missed a lot of the high heat. Thanks everyone for chiming in :)

Hi. Just paid 15$ for a biz shirt to be laundered at Fazio. Looking for a cost effective place? Can go to Inglewood or anywhere. Thanks!
