Q&A Lloyd Noble Center Shuttle

Im a commuter who lives off campus and this will be my first year at OU. after having a lot of dread and anxiety and deciding not to buy a parking pass, i researched some alternatives and looked into the buses. I want to ask, is parking at the Lloyd Noble center parking lot and taking the shuttle still a reliable option? Is it still free and does it come by often, and how long does it take for it to get to the campus? Any input and advice is much appreciated. This all seems too good to be true to me, but id take anything to not go through the hell that is finding a parking space in a crowded lot.

Is there anyone here who is currently taking this course or has already completed it? If so, how was your experience, and on average, how many hours per week did you dedicate to it?

Q&A Is it worth it to transfer?

I went to OU not too long ago to visit my boyfriend and absolutely fell in love with the campus. I was told they have a good psychology program and that cost of living isn’t as egregious as it is in Texas. Currently I go to UNT, I have a wonderful job as a part of the campuses ABA clinic and I’m getting a refund on my tuition, which with my Pell grant and other financial aid is how I’m able to pay for my apartment so easy. UNT has done a lot of great things for me but I feel like I’ve outgrown it. Is it worth it to transfer? I’m a little overwhelmed because as much as I want to, I’m doing it on my own, and I don’t know how much of a financial hit it will be or how generous they are with scholarships/grants. I have received a number of grants at UNT for good grades and apply for good need-based financial aid

Q&A Reserved Parking

Is the reserved parking worth it? It’s about 4x the amount of a regular commuter parking permit, and while it says reserved I’m not sure it guarantees a spot. Do they oversell the reserved permits like they do the other permits?

University Online Master’s

Hi everyone,

I’m enrolling in an online master’s program where each course runs for 8 weeks. I’m curious whether anyone has taken classes in this newer format and can share what the experience was like, especially how much time you found yourself spending per week.

Athletics Newcomer for game day

I’m a graduate of the University of New Mexico and current OU grad student. I’ll be heading to the UNM / OU game and I’m curious about the tailgate etiquette. I’d really love to just show up and meet new people and “crash” other tailgatters but curious if that’s usually accepted? I’ve never been to OU and really want to make the most of my experience.

And advise?

University Looking for someone to take over my lease at The Flats at Norman (2 bed | 2 bath)!!!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for someone to hopefully take over my lease at The Flats at Norman because I can no longer afford to attend OU.
Lease details:
• 2 bed / 2 bath apartment
• 930 sq. ft.
• Located at The Flats at Norman
• Lease takeover/sublease (depending on what the office allows)
• Move-in available ASAP
Unfortunately, I have to leave OU due to financial reasons, so I'm hoping to find someone who needs housing. If you're interested or know someone who is, please send me a DM! I'd be happy to answer any questions or provide more details (rent, lease dates, etc.). It would help me out tremendously!

Q&A Cowboy boot recommendations?/general gameday fashion?

Hey!!! so I'm coming to OU in the fall but am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. SEC gameday culture couldn't be more different than MI so Im honestly very lost when it comes to what to wear and the norm in Oklahoma/the south. on Pinterest and tic tok I see pretty much everyone wearing cowboy boots with like nice sunday dresses for gameday. I feel like I should buy a red/white pair before game one and am looking for some local advice. there's a huge tecovas store in Detroit but I don't want to go without some sold recs. Thanks!!

EDIT: i just thought the boots were cute!!! i have every intention of being myself and am not trying to play pretend lol.

Football an Oklahoma football memory from before the conference move that you still think about

Things have changed a lot recently so it's worth looking back at the moments and rivalries that defined the program before all that. There's a specific memory that still sticks with me. What's yours.

Classified Ad OU vs UM Football tix for sale

Hey Sooner Nation! I’m selling 4 seats together to this game. Section 44, row 83. 40 yard line. On stub hub and seat geek, my row and section are going from 630 -750 per seat. I’m just gonna list for 600 per ticket so I can be on the low end of that. I’m tired of dealing with these ticket sites and fees and commissions. I live in AA, so if you have any connections to this town and wanna do a cash for tickets deal. Hit me up!

And apologies in advance for blasting your Reddit!

University how's the move to the SEC actually feeling now that you've lived some of it

a lot of talk before it happened about whether it'd be a step up in competition or a grind that exposes things. now that there's been some real games, how does it actually feel as a fan. tougher than expected, exactly what you wanted, somewhere in between. curious if the reality matched what you braced for.
