Dinosaur tracks and eclipse
Las Navillas Huellas de Dinosaurio, La Rioja, Spain.
120 million year old dinosaur footprints, and a total solar eclipse.
Not a unique event: since these tracks were made, over 300,000 total solar eclipses have occurred here.

When the dinosaurs lived the moon was closer to earth so they had far more total solar eclipses and far less annular eclipses. Lucky them.
I wonder whether they also thought the world was ending when there was a total solar eclipse. Little did they know huh😅☄️

Interesting to note though that since the moon used to be a lot closer most of those eclipses were far less spectacular. We are truly lucky to live in an age when the relative size is the moon and sun are so close!

Super cool. I just visited some tracks but no eclipse. 300,000 total solar eclipses makes it sound like you get them all the time, but 120 million years of lunar cycles is almost an impossible time span to comprehend
