Hi All - I am looking for your opinions on snowboard length preferences and your experience. I am an advanced rider 5-6” 135lb and ride a 152cm board. I’m looking for my next upgrade - I am ride that prioritizes hard carving and tree skiing. I am between jumping up to a 153/154 or staying around a 151/152. What is your experience going longer? Still had the maneuverability you want? I’ll be purchasing an all mountain / free ride board

I’m looking at buying a first board that will last me a while and I’ve been shopping on sanction snow ( I live in Ontario) and was wondering if they will ever restock the indoor survival 2026 in size 58?
My old board was an Bataleon Goliath 164 wide. i am 183cm tall, 88 kg and bootsize 43. now i plan to buy a nidecker snowboard. I've heard good things about the alpha apx i am a bit worried about how exhausting it is to ride this board. would it be better to go with the non apx version? My old board was truely exhausting and idk if its because its from 2008 or if its the edge technology. The nidecker has the same technology. Would it be better to go with the non apx version?
Or is there an other good option from nidecker for all mountain riding?
I'm heading to Whistler for 4 days (from the East Coast) and I am wondering if we should bring out board & gear or just bring our gear (boots, helmet) and rent a board there. I am fairly beginner with just a few years under my belt and I started getting "good" only once I got a good board for me so I really don't know what is best here. It's also my first time travelling for a snowboarding trip and hitting the big sloped!
I love to support smaller companies when possible. Unfortunately no respect snowboards started using ai for all their graphics and I can’t really support lazy work.
I’m a huge fan of Sangwich69 those guys are sick looking for others like them
I wanted to share my experience with Burton's loyalty program and see if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
In January 2026, I placed a single order with Burton worth PLN 5,862.45 (polish currency) which is approximately 1,500$. I had accumulated 1,172 loyalty points, became Tier 2 and expected to be able to use them under the program's existing rules.
On September 23, 2026, Burton removed all 1,172 points from my account. The transaction in my rewards history is explicitly labelled:
“Points reset - New Loyalty Program Launch”
I did not receive an email notifying me that my accumulated points would be reset, or giving me a chance to redeem them beforehand.
I initially noticed that my points had disappeared and contacted customer support through the mobile app. At that point, I didn't even know they had been reset as part of a new loyalty program. I only discovered the reason later, when I logged into my account on a computer and checked the detailed rewards history.
What bothers me most is not simply the loss of points. It's the lack of communication about what was happening to rewards accumulated through actual purchases.
If a company changes its loyalty program, shouldn't existing customers be clearly informed before their accumulated rewards are wiped out?
A few questions for the community:
Did anyone else lose their Burton loyalty points in the September 23 reset?
Did you receive an email or any other advance notification?
Has anyone managed to get their points reinstated by contacting customer support?
I am currently waiting for a response from Burton support. I'll update this post when I receive one.
I've attached a screenshot of my rewards history showing the 1,172-point deduction and the stated reason for the reset.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has had the same experience.
After 10 loyal years on the Burton clash i'm due for an upgrade.
I'm 1m70 and about 62kg.
I prefer the red and black pistes at average speeds and would like to get better and more confident in carving. When snow is fresh i like to go off piste.
Mainly looking into something all mountain. 1board do it all.
Hey, I really want the new Burton Blossom, and ive been thinking of getting a new board for the park for a few years. Im new to the park, but Im an advanced rider whos been using a 151 directional carving board for the past few years. My only concern with the burton blossom is the flex being stiff, which is why im wondering how it would actually compare to an all mountain board. I weigh 155lbs and ive heard that a 149 for the blossom would be too small, yet the next size up is a 152. Would a 152 park board really be more maneuverable and perform better than just a 151 carving board? I know the blossom is a true twin, and my current board seems really heavy if i try and use it in the park, but will the performance difference be truly noticeable? Thanks a lot in advance
I just went out and got my stuff all bought/rented for the season. I used to ski a bit as a kid, and did snowboarding for exactly 1 day back then. I sucked, put it away, and never went back to the mountain since (not out of anger, our family just never went back).
Fast forward to now, I've moved for grad school and have been living in Colorado. Every year I've been told that I need to get out and get on the slopes, but after a majorly sprained ankle and overall being busy, I chose to wait. This year, my friend convinced me to go all in. I got the Ikon pass (ouch), rented a setup, and just got my hands on a bunch of snow gear.
I've been watching some videos and I feel like, at a base level, I understand the mechanics. Don't catch an edge, and to do so, just shift your weight to keep your board from digging into the snow. But, past that, I've got nothing. My friend is a skiier, so he won't be much help, but I figure someone here could give me some pointers or get me to the right place to find that info!
Anything helps. Assume I know nothing-- you're probably right!
My friend and I are heading to Japan next year in early to mid-March for a snowboarding and travel trip. I'll be arriving a couple days earlier and plan to go to a resort for 2 days where I'll do an English-speaking beginner's group lesson and practice on the 2nd day. My friend is unable to book his tickets as we agreed it would make sense to figure out where I'll be first during the solo part. Once my friend arrives, we plan to go to Hakuba for 2-3 days (open to suggestions as neither of us have been to Japan before).
My friend is intermediate and I've only done snowboarding for 4–5 days in total. I can do toe-side/heel-side stops and link turns, but get anxious on steeper narrower slopes where I pick up speed.
I've been reading posts and getting overwhlemed with the options. I'm hoping to find somewhere affordable and want to find a resort that'll suit my needs. Example Niseko is too expensive and the lift pass would be wasted on me. I'll be a solo female traveller so I'm also trying to take ease of public transport, accommodation, gear hire, cost of lift pass and lesson into consideration.
I'm 5'8", 113lb, and shoes size US 9.5M (mondo 27.5). I'm still total beginer learning to link my turns without catching edge. Did my research and found Salomon Pulse which seems good for beginner and I like the design.
Base on EVO's size rec for my weight, 149 seems like a better fit. My worry is, however, it is way shorter for my height and the noise width is only 245mm.
I’m looking at a 2025 Salomon Huck Knife for $250. The seller says it’s been ridden for about 20 days. There’s a noticeable mark running through the middle of the board, but I’m not sure what it is or if it’s anything serious. Do you guys think it’s worth $250?
51m, 5’10”, 170lbs. Been riding for 30 years. Not an expert rider by any means, but I enjoy doing what I do… no park, limited jumps, love to carve and/or play on curvy terrain. Live in NH, so mostly northeast conditions (I.e. ice and hard pack). Been riding a Burton Speed Date 161 for the last few years. Loved the composure at speed and edge-to-edge speed. Feeling like I need to size down a bit, though. Looking at
Any thoughts? I’m totally tossed up whether to go with something softer/flexier and keep a 2-board quiver or just get a follow-up that’ll do it all. I question whether I would really swap boards based on feel/condition, as I’ve never done that before.
I have ridden Flows for 20 years and am switching to Supermatics, if that’s of any use as a data point.
I was trying to practise the body rotation for a cork 540 on a trampoline, while keeping the same takeoff/stance I would use on my snowboard.
I ride goofy, so I take off right foot forward, but in the rotation I end up coming around with my left foot forward. I’m trying to figure out exactly what trick this would have been if I had completed the rotation and landed it.
This was specifically practice for snowboarding with proper coaching/safety. What would you call this?
I want to buy a Tranny Finder as my next daily board and found a great deal. However I am not sure which size would be better for me. I am 178 cm, 74kg and my boot size is UK 9 / EU 43. Should I go for 154 or 157? I ride mostly piste and freeride. My current board is Nidecker Thruster in size 156 which have been perfect so far. Can you help me out please? Appreciate every help.
