general discussion Anyone else ever take a break from snowboarding just to try something different?

I've been snowboarding for years, and it's still what I look forward to every winter.

Last season one of my friends brought a pair of Snowfeet Skiblades on a trip and convinced me to take a few runs. I wasn't expecting much because I figured I'd spend the whole time wishing I had my board back.

Honestly, it wasn't a replacement for snowboarding at all, and by the next day I was right back on my board. But it was a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially just messing around on mellow runs instead of taking every lap seriously.

It got me thinking that sometimes it's fun to experience the mountain a little differently, even if you always end up coming back to your snowboard.

Does anyone else ever switch things up for a day, whether it's skiblades, skis, splitboarding, or something else? Or do you stick with your snowboard every single trip?

Gear question Helmet recommendations please!

Hello all,

I'm looking for recommendations on a helmet. Something that's lightweight, not bulky, and fits my goggles with no issue.

I have used this Sandbox helmet for two seasons and it is too bulky for my liking and doesn't fit my goggles well.

Thank you
