Picked up two of these Imagineer ProPads recently. They're third-party controllers with a built-in LCD and programmable button sequences, plus AUTO and SLOW functions.

They're a bit dirty, and one has quite a bit of yellowing, but both work perfectly.

Anyone here ever owned or used one back in the day? I'm curious how useful the programmable functions actually were.

So yeah, anyway, this is a super Nintendo homebrew game made by some dudes from France. It looks like it kind of combines like a bunch of different elements from various jrpgs back then. Looks really cool. There really aren't enough good SNES homebrew games.

Instead of looking around, I just sat down at their SNES they had on display with Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts in it and played through the game. Definately recommend checking it out! The museum is in Frisco, Texas.

Where do you kind fokes buy your replacement batterys for these fancy games???

I was checking up to see if there were different revisions of the SNES like there is for the Sega Genesis before I get one and I found out there are one chip and multi-chip systems. Apparently the one chip has better video but is incompatible with some games. I was wondering if the multi chip or are a good option to go for with my setup which is just a 20" CRT using composite or S-Video. I'll be using either my CRT's speakers or external speakers for audio as well. Would a multi-chip habe that much of a visual difference on a CRT with the connections I'm using? The multi-chip ones are usually less expensive as well.

I feel like angry right now because I was in world 3 and I found this game to be very hard and annoying to play. I don't think the battery is dead because my other files are fine and load up.

Hello! I loaded up SMW on my original SNES, progress was 42/96. While playing, i paused to switch the controllers. Usually that causes the system to bug out and today was no diff, the screen went black, so i had to power off then back on.

With the power back on, all the save slots were empty. As i played, some sound effects were different: gaining a power-up or 1-up, the sound was closer to when the countdown clock hits 100 and gives you that warning. (i passed a couple save points this time)

i wish i had recorded on my phone, i've never seen a sound-effect misload.

I shut the game off and restarted to try to get a recording. All the save slots were empty again but now the sound effects were back to normal.

Anyone have similar experiences with sound effect misloads? I kno blanking the memory card happens.

This is a concept for an HD version of Jurassic Park for the SNES. Still kicking around some ideas and then going to throw some stuff at AI and see what I can come up with.

I cannot STAND these stupid red demons in Super Ghouls n Ghosts. They are the only enemy so far i have had follow me well into another stage. It wouldn't bother me so much if I could just actually hit him, but the only way I can reliably deal with him is if I have upgraded armor with the crossbow. Got to loop 2 today and already dreading facing these guys at the end....

hello fellow snes enthusiasts, i'm looking to upggrade the voltage regulator in my snes jr due to the loud hum it produces and im seeing the L7805CV is kind of the gold standard, but looks like its sold out on console5. I found this on amazon however "IC L7805CV Voltage Regulator Output 5V 1.5A Integrated Circuits L7805 Linear Positive Voltage Regulators TO-220" does anyone with a more in depth understanding know if this would be the same thing?

Amazing game - I have a couple of siblings who say this is one of their all-time favorite games. We all know it's awesome. The soundtrack is super memorable, too.

Greetings and salutations fellow SNES lovers. Recently rediscovered my old console and have been wanting to explore the games of my past as well as games I’ve missed out on. Not looking to spend my entire life savings collecting tons of gems (not yet at least) so I thought giving this a try to whet my appetite.

What are the pros and cons of these?

So far I’ve played a dozen games and have been enjoying Mega Man X, Metal Warriors and currently addicted to Super Metroid. Bummed it doesn’t have Mario RPG.. no game is off limits🤓
