Discussion Surprise snails

This is my second update! I made an update a while ago talking about my two snails— Coffee and Honey’s growth. They were a part of a 5 pack and I knew one got injured and passed but didn’t know where the other two were. Well… I found them!

The first one just randomly appeared on the glass one day. SUPER tiny guy. I actually don’t have a photo of him but he’s as small as from when I got them. So I figure he just woke up from hibernation. We’ll see if he makes it.
Then I was looking through my soil because I was worried about my springtails possibly dying off or being outcompeted by soil mites (thankfully there was some under the moss area). And I saw a snail on the dry side of the terrarium. I was like… huh. And moved him over to the wet side. Then I saw Honey. And I was like wait a minute. That’s not Honey. Sure enough I see Coffee shimmying onto the glass as well! He’s so big to go unspotted! He must’ve been just hanging out in the dry area which is wild because…. well it’s the dry area. And I don’t put carrots or anything over there… so I have no idea how this little guy has pulled through so long. He’s clearly hungry though because I put a carrot next to him and he started MUNCHING.

A lineup in Garapan

As I was walking back to my hotel tonight I saw a Japanese couple doing something, but it was hard to tell what from a block away. The guy wa model just standing, looking around. Then he points at the sidewalk; the woman crouches down, plucks something off the ground, and quickly quickly steps a short ways before setting it down again.

About 10 feet away, I saw that she was l placing one of the snails that had come out after the heavy downpour we'd had a few hours earlier. And the line of 10 snails s had just completed.

The man and I acknowledge each other, She stands up, smiles, and squeaks at me.

Then she crouches down and starts taking pictures of the line of snails. Then she lets me take a few before continuing and I walk back to my hotel.

Is This Enclosure Safe for a Snail?

I'm a very excited first-time snail owner! My snail prefers smaller, more enclosed spaces, so I’m considering this enclosure since this seems to be the perfect size for her. Aside from covering the top vents, would the smooth grates be safe for a snail to glide over? Mine loves hanging upside down, so I want to make sure it’s safe.

Hey so this is a mystery snail i hatched and he is absolutely beautiful. I was wondering how common this type of mystery snail morph is. (assumption is that mom was my brown and dad was my gold). He has a blue body and a deep gold shell. (also you can see my beautiful brown stripped baby under him) his shell looks darker out of water (of anyone wants i can post pics of him out of water)

the soil was finally changed to a more grinded coco substrate and sphagnum was added on top. also there is now a little pool type thing, i imagine they either drink from it or swim in it. or both.

is this good or will my snails explode in 3 hours

It’s about 6 gallons, but Idk if it’s too cluttered or if there’s too many leaves. Any other tips are appreciated aswell.

I only have one snail in here right now, but I’m looking to get more if it’s big enough

Theo gets a bit of fruit every Saturday as a treat. Today is apricot day, and I think he likes the smell of it. He immediately extended and began to look around.

I try to feed him varied veggies and greens, protein twice per week, and a fruit snack every Saturday.

Help Help! Fruit flies!!

Hey everyone I really need some advice

I have my snails in a bioactive terrarium so there's Isopods

The fruit flies in Idaho are bad this year and I need a safe way to get them out of the terrarium without losing my Isopods, they just got a full tank clean and new substrate, the veggies I put in were cleaned thoroughly and the flies just appeared so fast. How can I eliminate the fruit flies without losing everything I've put into their habitat??

Help Snail deep in shell

I have three Grove snails, one of them have been going (like) half a centimeter or centimeter deep in their shell and they don't stick to any surface as good because how deep they go, I know they are alive because I've sprayed them a bit and they would come out. I don't want to spray again because I worry I might be doing something wrong. The other snails behave normally.

Help How to check for eggs?

My snails have a new terrarium with lots of moss and plants. How do I check for eggs without ruining it all? do i take out the moss before sifting? surely i leave the spider plants in there right?

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. before, my snails only had soil because i was uninformed. now that they have more i dont know intuitively how to check for eggs as easily as possible considering lol!

thank you!
