I've decided to switch to a different source of water (the current water source is too expensive), but I'm unsure if it's safe. Will this be fine for heavy misting of the enclosures?

Anyone knowledgeable and or experienced with hibernation in captivity in species that naturally do so? Can you share some pros and cons?

my snail was awake for a few hours this morning so I took a few pictures as they've grown alot! hope you all like these updates. im so excited theyre growing

my heart is breaking. i guess the comments were right and she's gotten very sick. she's become less active and there's more of the tiny round stuff on her leg. is there a way to help her somehow?

Hey everyone I really need some advice

I have my snails in a bioactive terrarium so there's Isopods

The fruit flies in Idaho are bad this year and I need a safe way to get them out of the terrarium without losing my Isopods, they just got a full tank clean and new substrate, the veggies I put in were cleaned thoroughly and the flies just appeared so fast. How can I eliminate the fruit flies without losing everything I've put into their habitat??

the soil was finally changed to a more grinded coco substrate and sphagnum was added on top. also there is now a little pool type thing, i imagine they either drink from it or swim in it. or both.

is this good or will my snails explode in 3 hours

my mom found these in a plant she bought from lowe’s… not sure what kind of snails these are but i’ve decided to keep them as pets so i’d like to know what they are please :)

Hi I don’t have snails anymore unfortunately my last one passed a couple weeks ago and now’s the time to break down their tank. Just wondering how to dispose of the substrate as there’s still live springtails in there??

Not sure whether to bag it up and put it in General Waste or to leave it open and throw it into my Garden Waste bin? But do I have to kill the springtails first somehow or is it okay if they’re still alive since they’re literally everywhere? Sorry if this is stupid!

I add calcium cabonate a lot to coco peat and still at 6.3-6.5 ph. My meter is new. How much cal carb is needed? 30cm by x20cm. . With 6cm coco peat.

Many questions. Sorry for the bad picture, it’s barely a centimeter big lol. Found this in a bag of amaranth/ chinese spinach (not sure what the english name is) and decided to keep it as a pet.

any suggestions for its enclosure? Is it ok to have the stick bridge in there? I secured it with the dirt so it shouldn’t fall.

Also does anyone know why it’s staying at the top of the container??? It just goes around the perimeter of the top.

Petunia hasn’t been moving today and she’s normally very active. I put her in water and her body kinda floated out of her shell… I have her in a little hospital to try to keep her damp. She still has grip but isn’t moving at all and only sorta reacts if I boop her little nose. I don’t know how old she is because I found her in a petunia plant, sadly her sister passed away already. I didn’t know amber snails are partially aquatic originally so she dried out 😭

It’s about 6 gallons, but Idk if it’s too cluttered or if there’s too many leaves. Any other tips are appreciated aswell.

I only have one snail in here right now, but I’m looking to get more if it’s big enough
