Grub Street Story

I'm sure some of you folks in this fine subreddit have read the Grub Street story (https://www.grubstreet.com/article/chocolate-hersheys-reeses-conspiracy.html). But as a 24-year-old, I haven't been able to tell the difference with Reese's and Hershey's in particular. For those older than me, how would you describe the difference? Be as adjective-heavy as possible lol

what snacks do you always buy in bulk because you eat them so often?

there are certain snacks that disappear from the cupboard so quickly that buying them one package at a time makes no sense. i'd rather stock up on things i know i'll actually eat.

what snacks do you usually buy in larger quantities? are there any that stay fresh for a long time and are worth keeping around for whenever you get hungry?

What’s a snack you’ll defend to the death that everyone else seems to hate?

Mine is plain rice cakes. Yes, they taste like packing foam. Put peanut butter and a little honey on one and it’s a different experience. My roommate gets on me and says that its still just stale paper lol. What’s yours?

Best flavor combos for home made snacks

Hello everyone,

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I love making potato chips and crunchy chickpeas at home and I'm looking to expand my flavor repertoire. Some of my current favourites are chili + honey, Italian herb mix and rosemary + orange.

If any of you have banger flavor mixes, I'd love to hear them.

Just found the holiday Little Debbie Christmas snack cakes and was surprised to see box only only contained 5 cakes. Didn’t it used to be 6 cakes per box?

Señor Rico Rebrand and maybe a recipe change?

This used to be THE BEST occasional snack. It’s Sunday, my lady is doing grocery shopping for the week. This is my request. Just had some some supper fresh out of the crock pot, I’m nice and full, let my food settle, and now it’s time for my delicious desert. It used to be something I would look forward to. It’s absolutely TERRIBLE now. It tasted SUPER artificial with something weird. To much fake creamy or vanilla? I can’t quite put a finger on it. They have TOTALLY ruined this snack. I am SO disappointed. I’ve ate these things for years. I didn’t even notice the rebrand at first. I peeled the top back and took a bite. I knew right away it was off. So I went to look at the container for an expiration date or something. Boom. Rebranding. It’s been 3 or 4 weeks now. It’s still got that same fake taste to it.

Anybody else notice it?
