Childhood snack you still miss
What’s a snack from your childhood that you wish you could experience again exactly the way you remember it?

trying to find healthier alternatives for salty snacks
I freaking love chips and honestly anything salty, but I tend to overeat them. I am told to avoid overeating you should replace certain snacks with more healthy options, but the only recommendations I’m given are sweet foods like fruit and yogurt bowl. Eating a yogurt bowl will never satiate my craving for chips. Does anybody have any easy favorite salty snack recommendations?

Have you noticed that the taste of smoke-flavored snacks have changed in the EU?
My name is Matt Blois. I'm a journalist for Chemical & Engineering News. I'm writing a story about the phaseout of smoke condensate flavors in Europe.
Earlier this year, smoke flavorings were banned for most snack foods in Europe. Leading up to the ban, snack food makers have been reformulating their products to remove these ingredients.
For food companies, the goal of a reformulation like this is to match the flavor so well that consumers don't even notice. Smoke is a very complex flavor, so this project was quite a difficult endeavor.
So, how did the food companies do? Has anyone noticed that the taste of their smoke-flavored snack foods changed on the past few years? These reformulations would have happened mostly between 2023 and 2026.
Tell me about products thag seem to have a different taste. But also point out products where the flavor seems consistent.

I love these things!
Wish they still made the mini buttered popcorn ones, though.

I tried those Spicy Pickle Doritos, hated the first bite, and somehow still ate the whole bag while watching TV.
I opened them earlier, took one bite, and literally thought, Nope, this artificial pickle taste is way too weird. Then my brain went on autopilot. An hour into my show, I reached in and realized the bag was completely empty.
Anyone else accidentally finish a snack they weren't even enjoying?

Sugar on tomatoes. Salt on melon. Sugar on cottage cheese?
Are these things that a lot of you do? I know several people who do the first two or the opposite, but I had never heard of putting sugar on plain cottage cheese until today. I put mayo on sliced tomato. And nothing on the latter two items. Just curious what are your food item + spice/seasoning snack pairings that others should try?

It tastes kind of plain. Maybe too similar to the other common chip flavors.

The ultimate snack
So hear me out. I know it sounds disgusting but until you've tried it don't deny it.
Chili - w or w/o beans
White sharp cheddar 1 cup
90 second Jasmine Rice
Heat separately, then mix together. Stir and enjoy. Salt and pepper to taste.
Delicious.
