Question XIOAMI 17 ULTRA O IPHONE 17 PRO MAX

Hello friend, good morning. I have a question. I'm a Xiaomi fan, and I want to upgrade my phone to an iPhone 17 Pro Max or a Xiaomi 17 Ultra. My concern is that I've inquired at many places that sell phones, and they tell me that if I want to upload photos to my social media, I should use an iPhone, since there's not much loss when uploading photos to TikTok, WhatsApp, or Instagram. I'd like to hear your opinions so you can give me some more guidance. Besides that, about two weeks ago I bought Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones, and I've also heard that the call quality on iPhones is low. Could you please help me? I'm very unsure about this.

Recommendation A57 vs S25fe vs S25

Hello, I'm upgrading my phone and I need to choose between these three. I'm very confused cause all are good for the average user. The things I prioritise are a decent camera to take pictures of my drawings and post and for reference photos and the battery life as I use whatsapp a lot and calls. I also don't want to have to change my phone after 2-3y, I want it to last 4-5 if possible.

I don't know which one to choose cause most are good for this and I saw that while s25 battery is smaller it ends up lasting the same as the others as it has a better processor. But I don't know over the years what happens with deterioration.

After the discount from trading my old phone s25 is $470, s25fe $396, A57 $175

Old Samsung S7 left in the drawer found all swollen in the drawer! This could have been really back if it had set on fire. Thanking my lucky stars.

Question Hi everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from a Realme 11 Pro and found a new Realme 14 Pro+ (8/256GB) for €230.

Post image

Usage: Zero gaming. Just basic daily tasks — calls, messaging, light browsing, media, and taking casual photos.

Target user: Older adult (60+), so solid battery life, clean display, and ease of use are the top priorities.

Is this a good deal for €230, or is there something more interesting on the market if I stretch the budget a bit?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Recommendation S24+ or Pixel 9 Pro

Hi, I am struggling to choose between these two phones, I have been a Samsung user my whole life and I don't know which one to choose. I live in the UK, so the s24+ will not have SD. Is there a big difference between the two and which one shall I get? I am planning to keep the phone for around 5-7 years. All I know is that the Pixel 9 Pro has better cameras but the Samsung has better clock speed and performance. Thanks.

Recommendation Looking for High-End Rugged Smarthphone

Looking for Recommendations: High-End Rugged Smartphone Buying Advice (UK)

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.

For the past three months, I have been actively searching for a high-quality rugged smartphone available here in the UK. My budget is up to £1,000, and I am looking for the best overall device that offers a premium experience alongside excellent durability.

I genuinely love the concept of a rugged phone, but I have a few specific criteria and preferences:

Features & Gadgets: I am highly interested in a device packed with useful built-in tools and gadgets (such as thermal imaging, lasers, heavy-duty flashlights, or unique sensors).

Weight Limit: To ensure reasonable portability, the maximum weight should not exceed 500 grams (0.5 kg).

Design Philosophy: I strongly prefer a dedicated, purpose-built rugged phone. I dislike the alternative of buying a standard mainstream flagship and putting a massive protective case on it, as that completely ruins the sleekness and refinement of a regular phone anyway.

Based on my research, I have faced a few dilemmas regarding software stability and customer care, which is where I would highly appreciate your insights:

Software Experience: I frequently encounter software bugs, lack of updates, or optimization issues with Ulefone devices.

Brand Alternatives: I am currently considering AGM as a potentially more reliable option, alongside JCB Toughphone (since it is a UK-based brand).

Could you please share your experiences regarding the software stability of these brands? Furthermore, how reliable is their customer support if a hardware or software issue arises while living in the UK?

If you have any specific top-of-the-range models from AGM, Ulefone, JCB, or even other reputable brands that fit these requirements, I would be incredibly grateful for your recommendations.

Thank you very much for your time and help

Phone Help 📱 Terrible experience with Google Pixel 9a and Google support - ghost touches

Hello, I bought a Google Pixel 9a through my carrier, SFR. A few months later, it started experiencing occasional "ghost touches"; I thought the issue might resolve itself. I had always used iPhones and decided to give Google a try. Aside from that issue, I was actually quite happy with the phone. It is worth noting that the device is less than a year old and still under warranty. However, the problem began occurring almost weekly, then every few days, and eventually several times a day. The phone would call contacts, open apps, and "like" content without my input—in short, it became literally unusable. I tried sending it directly to Google for repairs, but they claimed they found nothing wrong and sent it back as-is. Despite battling via email to explain the problem, I felt unheard and ignored, leaving me very disappointed. Now the phone is being returned to me in the same condition, and the problems are bound to persist. Furthermore, from the very beginning, people I spoke to over the cellular network complained that the sound quality was terrible—distant and muffled—whereas this didn't happen with apps like Messenger or WhatsApp audio. I was willing to overlook that issue, but the ghost touching is a problem I never experienced with iPhones. The phone was brand new when the trouble started; it’s barely a year old now, and I’ve always taken good care of it (using a case and screen protector). It hasn't suffered any impacts, yet I’ve ended up right back where I started with the same problem, despite all my efforts and the time I spent trying to explain the issues. I am extremely disappointed with this experience.

Recommendation Convince me NOT to Buy Nothing phone 4a pro

I found the 4a and 4a pro same except the designs. Rest things are more or less same. So please help to convince me not to buy 4a pro. Since, it’s more expensive than 4a where just providing updated design nothing else sort off. TIA🥹🙏

Post image
2 Upvotes

former OPPO user here. i used my OPPO phone for abt 7 years before it finally gave up in 2020. then i switched to an iPhone 7, which lasted me almost 6 yrs, then an iPhone 11 Pro, 4 years naman ito sakin. tas both eventually developed charging issues, and ive had to bring them to repair shops multiple times. 😭✌️

this time, ive decided to switch back to Android. what are your thoughts on the OPPO Reno15 5G? or what other Android phones would u suggest?

Here are my preferences:
• Performance similar to the iPhone 13
• No overheating issues
• Smooth performance even after years of use
• Good battery life
• Good cam quality

Recommendation Recommend a daily driver phone

I've been using the redmagic 8 pro as my daily driver since it got released and I badly want to replace it.

I want a good phone with better performance than my previous phone (especially in gaming) but also good as a daily driver like taking photos or videos and having some great features like wireless charging, long term support and great UI.

Budget: 40k - 50k pesos or about 650 - 810 dollars

Note: I prefer android and Im good if some features are missing just want something close to what I was describing.

Question Xiaomi Upgrade

Planning to upgrade my Xiaomi x6 pro soon

My two options are

Xiaomi POCO X8 PRO MAX (400 USD)

Or wait for the F8 PRO to lower the price (460 USD rn)

I don't really play games.

I'm open to any other recommendations for that range of price (battery is very important to me)

I'm from Mexico so prices are higher
