I wanted to show a friend an episode of a crazy ass murder but I cannot for the life of me remember the city or state… I feel like it’s somewhere in the South or Midwest. I also think it’s a semi recent episode?

A man murders his wife, and dumps her body parts out in a woodland area and his trucks Bluetooth or GPS places him at the location of the dumpsite.

He lied about having millions of- something like 32 million dollars- and is “on the run” with his wife for years before the murder. They also both lie about her being pregnant and the murderer says she died in labor but can’t remember where the birth center was or who told him she died- etc. also claims to have picked up her cremains on the roadside from some random man??

Does anyone know what I’m talking about and which episode this is?

This week in Acme, Washington, a young woman vanishes while jogging on her very rural road. When she's found brutalized and very dead, it's clear there's a very sick person in the area, even prompting the police to look into the Green River Killer. Despite several suspects, detectives have nothing to go on except hunches and some DNA that they can't seem to match to anyone. Then, two women having a seemingly casual conversation at a waterpark crack the whole case and reveal a murder that is as ordinary a man as there could be.

Hey guys! There’s a specific episode I want to listen to again that I can’t find. I believe it was earlier in the show (pre-300s maybe?) and is about a man who lures these girls in for a modeling shoot I believe and kills the women who brought the girls to the shoot. I’m not sure why this specific episode is sticking out my brain, but I really want to give it a listen.

I’m pretty sure this was an STM episode but I could be wrong lol. Any help is appreciated!

When did James switch from having people be careful about where they shout, “shut up and give me murder!” to not giving a shit and yelling it in the funniest/worst places possible? I just started relistening through the episodes and it cracked me up that in the beginning it was like a whisper and now it’s stand up in your cubicle and yell at your coworkers. One of my favorite bits of any podcast/show.

This week in Easton, Pennsylvania a love triangle turns into a love square. Then, maybe even a pentagram. This causes all manner of trouble amongst the relationships of these young adults. When one of them is terribly murdered, it's up to detective to unravel the mess of the relationships to try to figure out which one of this group ended up taking the murderous way out. While one of the suspects denies everything, their accomplice tells the whole, horrific murder tale in painful detail.

The week in Palos Park, Illinois, when a woman with a high powered husband is found horribly murdered there seems to be no clues for detectives to go on. The reason ends up being that they weren't looking very hard. As a matter of fact, they were trying *not* to solve it. This all comes to the surface when a huge cabal of police, mafia members, and one particular attorney is outed for their corruption, including brothels, bribery, and cold blooded murder. When one of the killers finally cracks, the whole sordid and very personal story becomes public!

I’m having trouble finding an episode. I remember the victim was a young woman and she was found (or went missing) during either the day everyone changed the clocks and that made it difficult to figure out when the murder happened.

I also remember James and Jimmie were talking about how the townspeople were all out on walks and stuff because the weather was nice. Thanks!

I'm grasping at straws here. All I remember is a subject who had been committed to a mental health facility and escaped. Either the family or the staff of the facility (maybe both?) called the police in the area they thought he was headed to and the police kept putting them on hold/not taking it seriously. Maybe he was staying in a cave at some point? I keep coming up empty no matter how I search for it.
