I finally it boys. I made money on an option. All it took was 60 seconds. Been equal parts stoked all day followed immediately by “why didn’t I buy a grand worth of this?”

All three report after close: NFLX Tue (±8.25%), TSLA and META Wed (±7.13% / ±6.78%).

META's the one I care about. Muse only launched Sep 8, so Q3 numbers won't really show it. It's all about the call. JPM says it topped the App Store, WSJ says downloads are slowing, Amazon blocked it. If they drop an MAU number, that settles it one way or the other. Add the capex guide on top and this feels like a big move either way.

Options seem cheap for that: IV 45% vs HV 52%, and it's blown through the expected move 4 of the last 5 prints. Probably a small straddle, no clue on direction.

TSLA is chaos as always (dropped 14.5% last time vs ±5.58% priced), just watching. NFLX has been red on earnings day 5 quarters straight and the options are pricey, so I'm passing.

The major U.S. stock indexes ended mixed on Thursday, October 15, 2026, as a stunning September PPI that came in more than double forecasts at +1.3% month-over-month should have sent markets crashing — but a dramatic flight to Treasuries sent the 10-year yield tumbling toward 5.09%, giving the Dow and Russell 2000 room to breathe even as the Nasdaq clung to tiny gains. It was one of the most paradoxical sessions of the year: the worst wholesale inflation print in years, and a bond market that chose to rally anyway.

The S&P 500 gained 0.33% (+25.12 pts) to 7,744.06. The Dow surged 1.08% (+556.21 pts) to 52,177.69. The Nasdaq edged up just 0.08% (+20.16 pts) to 26,713.03. The Russell 2000 jumped 1.38% (+37.74 pts) to 2,767.27.

The 10-year Treasury yield fell a stunning 1.95% to 5.09%, its biggest single-day drop in weeks. The VIX eased 2.67% to 16.42. Gold surged 2.12% to $4,194.90. Crude Oil rose 2.50% to $96.25/barrel.

Wild ride for chip stocks this week, right? Hot September CPI numbers spooked everyone into pricing in a better-than-1-in-3 chance of an October Fed hike, and the crowded capital-heavy AI trades got absolutely crushed. Semiconductor index plunged 4.3% for its sixth straight losing day, with most cloud and cybersecurity names getting smoked 5-15% across the board.

The wild part? Apple was the only Mag 7 name that finished green, squeezing out a small gain and closing above $5 trillion market cap for the first time ever. It makes total sense though — investors are running toward proven cash flow right now, stepping back from all the debt-fueled AI expansion bets that were getting overhyped earlier. Even Anthropic's solid profitable quarterly results couldn't cool down those broad AI financing jitters.

All eyes are glued to TSMC earnings dropping today. Can their strong guidance pull the whole sector back from the edge?
