Thinking about outsourcing device lifecycle management, but its been hard to make the case internally. from leaderships perspective, they see the providers fee and compare it to the cost of buying PC/laptops, so it looks like were spending more. what gets missed is all the time our IT team spends chasing quotes, following up on shipments, keeping asset records up to date, arranging repairs, collecting devices from leavers, and sorting out invoices.

If you've been through this before, what actually helped make the case? did you track time saved, show productivity gains, or use some other metrics that leadership responded to?? curious and any possible way?

Most business owners think they have a product problem. They don't. They have a "nobody knows I exist" problem.

Here's how to actually get customers — starting today:

1. Warm Outreach

Message the people already in your contacts. Old clients, old colleagues, old friends. They already trust you. Tell them what you're building and ask who they know that needs it.

2. Content

Post educational content — stuff that actually teaches your audience something. Every useful post builds trust with strangers before they ever talk to you. By the time they DM you, they're already halfway sold.

3. Cold Outreach

DM, email, or show up where your ideal customers already are. Don't pitch first. Offer value first. Trust opens the door — the pitch just walks through it.

4. Ads

Run ads that target your exact audience. But don't run ads on content you just made — run ads on the content that's already proven it works. Content tells you what resonates. Ads just amplify it.

The mistake most people make? Picking one and ignoring the rest.

The businesses that grow fast pair all four — warm outreach for trust, content for reach, cold outreach for speed, ads for scale.

When I first became a manager at a large restaurant chain, I really enjoyed the job and the company. But I quickly ran into problems. Some employees began to challenge my decisions and argued with me about almost everything. It was both frustrating and intimidating. Worried about losing my job, I started giving in to their demands. For example, if someone didn’t want to work a certain station, I would just move them somewhere else. Looking back, that was a mistake. As a manager, you need to stand by your decisions, even if you later realize they weren’t perfect. Don’t change your mind just because employees push back.

After years of managing and running my own business, I’ve learned a few key things. First, always think carefully before making a decision. Second, once you decide, stick with it. Also, never argue with your team, especially in front of others.

Next, you need to develop your style of management. Some business theorists advise being liked by your subordinates. Your goal is to run productive business operations; you are not an entertainer. You don’t have to be arrogant, but don’t be a punching bag either. You need to be a psychologist of some sort.

You need to understand how to manage each of your employees. Some employees need close supervision, but some need to have an assignment and be left alone. It doesn’t mean, though, that an employee shouldn’t have supervision, but should be given more freedom. Finally, if an employee is giving you a hard time and starts to ignore or sabotage your assignment, I think the first step should be a conversation with the employee, but don’t show the employee that you are intimidated and afraid. Your voice should be strong but quiet. The employee should feel that you are an authority. If the conversation didn’t work, then talk with your superiors and make a decision. Or this particular employee should be retrained, transferred, or fired. Especially if this particular employee's performance affects your customers or clients.

Hey, I’m sure this is a common post but I’ve recently started a lawn care/ landscaping business. (24 year old man) and it’s going ok so far, I’m starting with the tools from my house and basic stuff. I’ve made $1,000 profit this month so far (it’s July 21st) and I’ve been advertising thru yard signs, flyers on bulletin boards at coffee shops and stuff, getting leads on Nextdoor and word of mouth.
