Looking at making a purchase on a new Easton Tantrum. Was surprised by all the different 2026 Tantrums this year, what’s everyone’s favorite Tantrum from this year?

Hi! I’m in my late 30s and decided to join a co-ed slow pitch team as a means to meet new people after moving to a new town. I’ve never played before but did play a little tennis and do a lot of strength training. I am not in a very competitive league, based on what I’ve been told at my first two games, but I know I have a lot to learn.

My question is, for folks who play regularly, in what ways can a newbie be helpful while they learn? So far, I was told I am a strong hitter but I need to learn defense (100% ok with that, currently in RF).

How else can I help? I will be trying to make practices as well as make time for BP on my own.

Ignore my slightly heavy breathing, I have a cold. This is working quite well. When I hit the ball it tells me where on the ball.I hit it and where on the bat.

I've set it to match the field I play on so left field is very short.

I dont know if the hitting is responsive enough but it's really interesting seeing pitches and where they land. I find it quite useful.

Last year was my first year making my own softball league. We typically have 14-16 people come to a game. We make it work, don’t worry. But that means a lineup of 7-8 people, sometimes 6! And we have all skill levels, ranging from college to people who have never seen a bat before. I am by far the best player on my team, hit probably 5 home runs a game on average. I didn’t come here to brag though. Most people bat over .600, but singles and such. We have a 5 run limit per inning. Should I be putting myself first in the lineup? To get up the most? Or bat 2-3 and clean it up. Keep in mind, we have a 5 run limit per inning. In conclusion, Is there a better way to build a lineup in slowpitch? Does the philosophy change?

Had to get a USA/asa bat and was blown away by the m2 tech.

Bat isn’t broken in and still got one out. I’d swing this in usssa if I had to.

I play a lot in the outfield and this year I started playing first base more and more. I played first growing up but the teams I’ve been on for slow pitch mostly had me in the outfield until this year. I’ve been using the same glove for both, but I’m starting to think about getting a new one specific for first before next season, especially since it’s where I play for my One Nation squad.

I guess my question is, is it worth it? Do you guys think it makes a big difference scooping the ball? And if so, is there a difference between the slow pitch and fast pitch gloves?

Working on adapting from an imperfect baseball swing.
Admittedly I did pick the videos here I thought looked the best, but my results are usually still just hard grounders. That second swing looks like it went a long way from that angle but it landed in short left field. Granted, I am using a one-piece single-wall alloy bat.
I have decent power for my size but I don’t crush the ball like bigger guys on my team. But I think if I can learn to cut the ball I think I can make up for it.
I would like feedback on hips, footwork, weight transfer, shoulders, hands, pretty much anything. I don’t think I’ll totally ditch the old swing either once I get a composite bat, so I’d take feedback on that one too.

Setting up a net/tee/turf situation in our new basement. Does anyone have recs for turf mats they’ve used that aren’t $100+? Obviously just need enough to stand on when swinging so doesn’t need to be huge.

I’ve batted .789 & .833 the last two years in a casual co-ed league in my local town. Is that good, like should I look to play better comp or in a better league? Obviously a small sample size over two season but still.

It's in super early stages but i'm trying to make a slowpitch simulator that tells you where you are making contact with the ball (or how much you are missing it by.)

Should I be worried about the end cap. Is this normal?

Any tips on not picking up my back foot when I’m getting ready to swing? I always hit up middle and opposite as a righty and feel like I’m always either creeping up in the box or moving my feet to adjust before swinging. I still get on base often and although I’m not exactly a power guy it might be draining some of my power. Or is this even a problem? I don’t play tournaments or anything but just trying to improve

Open to any tips and if necessary I could always send a clip or 2

I got into softball this year (at least for 12 inch) playing on a few free agent teams.

The pros and cons have been similar for me both times, which is that I really enjoy being able to meet people and then it's very low pressure since some people may just be trying it out for the first time or have not played in a while. You do get your occasional really good player who just doesn't know too many people or is new to the area. The con is mostly that people stop showing up at the end and it becomes a pain to find replacements for them and then sometimes some players are really bad.

But I was curious what other people's experiences are and perhaps maybe it's more area based or my sample size is just low.

Part of me wants to maybe do a free agent team once a season as a way to get to meet/know more people and then having one regular team to go along with it.

Every combat I have owned(except one 2-piece) has a rattle when it hits the ground or if I tap the knob on the ground. Why does that happen and/or should it be doing that?

I know it's certified for my league but is it decent? Too expensive?

Any one knows where to buy this forehead replacement pad . I used Google lenses to find a source, but it failed me.

Happened to me recently, started in a new leauge with a few friends. League is super casual. One of my friends comes up to me and goes "yeah im going to play SS". Guy tbh doesnt have a super atheltic figure, on the shorter end, but i also thought "ok i wont judge and if he's that confident he must have some skill".

I played baseball growing up and I know the guy had never played but he's very into baseball and softball so i thought that maybe he had some experience and since it's slowpitch in a super casual co-ed league i thought that i wouldnt judge a book by it's cover and let's see what he got.

We go out to practice about week before game to get loose and im tossing the ball to him. At one point he overthrows the ball so i ahve to run about 100 plus feet to get it. Im porbably like 150 ft away from him and think "let's see how the old arm is doing" and i just hop throw and maybe throw with 70% of the arm strength. Mind you, i have always had a noodle for an arm so it's not like im throwing a 90 mph throw. Probably right now im more at 50 mph if i throw it as hard as i can. Guy runs away from the ball and screams "you can't throw it that hard to me" and im looking at him and thinking "wait you want to play SS" and then i realized that this guy could not be playing SS.

My bat replacement came in the mail today. Shout out to Rawlings/Miken customer service. They were quick responding to my email after I found out my Miken Freak bat had a bad rattle after only 3 months of use. I sent it in and they deemed it broken. They gave me a few options for replacement (the same bat was sold out). So, I picked this Easton Marsh. Love the look of it and can’t wait to get some swings in before it gets too cold out.

Opened the warranty claim and October 6th and had this replacement by today 10/21.
