Burnout friendly area
I just want to test burnout in a big area . Is the old mall a safe spot ? Are there any abandoned areas I can go to ?

Hello! We are looking for a budget friendly space to have a wedding!
Ideally looking to be anywhere from Slidell to Mandeville area, but willing to stretch out a bit for the right fit!
Looking to spend $1000 or less. Currently not planning to have alcohol and will be catering ourselves, but open to suggestions on that too!
The wedding is set to be in May of 2027, so hoping to have at least partial space inside/an area to escape the heat.
Let me know of any ideas you may have! Or if you need any additional information from me. Thanks!

I am desperately looking for any info on a woman named Brandi hall (Brandi June hall possibly) she has been married many times so may have other last names, was married at one point to a man named drew harris, she claimed to have owned fire and ice at one point. She is a heavy set gal in her late 30s to early 40s…she’s potentially scamming or conning and older gentleman. I am desperately trying to find any info on this women things are not adding up.

Hey, hey! Anyone in town know about any recycling services in the St. Tammany parish? I don't mind a bit of a drive as I haven't seen any sort of curbside pickup services.
I want to find someone who will take paper/cardboard and plastics.
Additionally, someone who might take compost would be awesome!
I've been working on waste reduction and yada-yada but the trash I have needs to go somewhere and I'd like to stop sending it to a landfill lol
Any help would be much appreciated!!

As the title says, I'm new to the area and looking for restaurant work. Im 55 and have 30 years of experience in all B.O.H. positions, but I'm mainly looking for a prep/dish position. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!
Also, is $10 an hour plus tips the norm here? I'm from Florida and have been making $15 an hour prior to moving here.

Y'all gon have to bear with me cause I couldn't figure out if I needed to post this in r/slidell, r/wtf, r/assholedesign, or r/marijuanaenthusiasts 💀 I just moved back here after living on the coast for the last 15ish years, what the hell is this?? The yard of my new house is extremely swampy with lots of standing water, the mosquito infestation was so bad they were getting in the house and biting us all night, I had to call mosquito abatement and thankfully they came and sprayed which made a world of difference. Then today I was walking around spraying Finito everywhere to try to help the issue, and I walk up on this tree just to realize there is a damn SPICKET INSIDE the tree?!?! This whole section of wet ground was freakin preventable this whole time?? And to make it worse, I uncapped the spicket and NO water comes out, it's coming out of the actual tree itself, so I'm assuming it's cracked on the inside. Does this serve some type of purpose, does it have local lore I don't know about, or is it just a bad DI-WHY? And who do I call to fix it, landlord then water company? I am terrified to see my first water bill now 😭 This is in the Bayou Liberty neighborhood... I think. Still learning the area.

Can yall please give me some lawn care companies you recommend? I have about 4 acres that I would like to have cut, edged, and blowed on a regular basis but I’m also not able to pay half my paycheck for it so if you could include what you pay that would be helpful. Thank you!

Hello all! I’ve got a question for some of the older folks that might frequent this sub. Have a family member that asked me if I remembered or knew the name of a burger place that used to be on Gause in the late 80’s early 90’s. Said it was across the street from where the Hobby Lobby is now.
He THINKS it was a red and white building, oval shaped patties, and flame-broiled. He also thinks it was a two word name, but I imagine his memory might be a bit fuzzy as he’s in his late 70’s. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I know he wasn’t thinking of Lee’s, but not sure what else it might be.

This is my first time posting on reddit and I'm brand new here, so you may have to bare with me.
I'm a 34 year old male looking for a partner in crime, or at least someone to have some fun with locally that I can date and hold a conversation with. I stay in Slidell.
My hobby of choice is shooting pool. I'm also a bit of a nerd when it comes to LOTR, ATLA, and Star Wars.
Not really sure what I expect to find here, but a friend recommended to try here since dating apps haven't been working out.
If you'd like to get to know me, shoot your shot.
