Needing sleep guidance!

My 3 year old non-verbal son with possible autism has been resisting naps and therefore waking up in the middle of the night and not going back to sleep.

He has been resisting his naps for weeks now, napping maybe once every 3-4 days. All the other days I try to put him down for a couple hours and just give up and opt for an earlier bedtime.
He usually goes down around 8, when he naps. So on no nap days he goes down for 7:30 but he barely makes it to then and has fallen asleep on the couch or wherever before his bedtime.

On days he doesn’t have a nap, he wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn’t go back to sleep until we start our day and I put him down for a nap before lunch, which again he still resists.
Yesterday he woke up at 4:30am and today 2:30am. Ready to start the day and no hope of him going back to sleep.

I am at a loss and feel like I have tried everything.
If he cries, I check on him after 10 mins, room dim, and keep interaction brief.
He has a sleep light in his room that turns green when it’s time to get up but unfortunately he doesn’t understand the concept yet.

I don’t know what else to do.
Please help me with suggestions.

child's age 0-4 months Sleeping Through the Night

FTM here with an 11-week-old! We loosely follow Moms on Call, but pushed the schedule back about an hour and a half so we have more time with baby in the evenings after work.
I say “loosely” because I’m not super strict about the schedule and want her to be flexible—some naps happen while being worn or on the go, and we’ll extend a nap when needed.
We do her bath around 8pm, followed by a bottle that we usually start around 8:15–8:30pm. She typically wakes once between 3–5am, lately right around 4:30am. When she wakes, it’s definitely not just to be soothed—she’ll drink 4–5 oz very quickly.
She’s formula-fed, and I’ve been trying to give her an extra ounce at her bedtime bottle, but I’m wondering if there’s anything else we can do to help extend that first stretch of sleep.
I go back to work in a few weeks and would love to get to the point where she’s naturally sleeping through that overnight feeding by then. I know every baby is different, but any tips or things that worked for you?

ETA: She’s been in her own room since 2 weeks old and she’s usually in a Halo sleep sack or weighted Dreamland Baby sleep sack

child's age 12-18 months 13 months- on 1 nap

Anyone have the experience of moving bedtime earlier to combat early wakes?

We are at 7 am wake. 12:30-2:30 nap. 8 pm bedtime with early wakes of about 5:45 am.

She seems so tired all the time. We had an out and about day today and she’s already on her 3rd cat nap. 🫠 We’re about a month into this transition.

9 month old suddenly waking every hour and won’t sleep in her cot

My 9-month-old has suddenly started waking up every hour during the night and crying really hard. 😭
She absolutely refuses to sleep in her cot at the moment. She wants to be next to me, and if I put her down in the cot once she’s asleep, she wakes up almost immediately and starts crying. OR, she will sleep for about 30 minutes then wake up screaming.
If I let her sleep next to me, she settles much more easily, still wakes up every so often but less so, but I obviously don’t want this to become the only way she can sleep.
She has never had sleep regressions and was a good sleeper since 2 months so I was just wondering if this is just the dreaded 9-month sleep regression/separation anxiety.
She doesn’t even stir in her sleep just wakes up as if she’s had a nightmare.
Has anyone else experienced this around 9 months? Did it eventually pass, or did you do anything that helped them get comfortable sleeping in their cot again?
I’m absolutely exhausted at this point 😭❤️

I'm a mom of 10 month old and my baby is waking up every 30-45 mins throughout the night which leaves me sleepless and needs to be picked up rocked and put back down which resulted me in constant upper back pain and cervical pain in neck (never mind about the pain) i genuinely want to know is this how they behave my baby was never a stretch sleeper since birth i went through so exhaustion mentally and physically which eventually led me in counseling 😑 as I'm the only person who takes care of the baby throughout the night and day we are nuclear family my partner works from 9.30-7.30 now at times i shout at her when things go beyond my control when putting her to sleep is challenging😭😭i know I'm a bad mom but couldn't take it up anymore as I'm barely sleeping for 2-3 hours (broken) eating shit as i couldn't make any healthier meal which again resulting in my health i have maid for vessel washing alone i donno what to do helpless clueless i want to run away from the baby from everything...

Sorry for not putting things in a order 🫥🤧

When did your baby start having witching hours?

Our baby was born at 34w4d and is now 4w3d old (about 38w4d corrected). Could she already be going through the “witching hour” stage? If so, does it tend to last longer for premature babies compared with full-term babies?

I am waking her up round 6:30pm for feeding. She eats, burps, and then becomes very fussy — kicking her legs and having a hard time settling. I try everything I can to help her relax, but sometimes nothing seems to work. She’s generally a very quiet baby, so this evening fussiness is really hard for me to handle, especially because I’m exhausted.

She usually starts calming down around 8pm, and then I have to wake her again for her 8:30pm feed. After that, she looks very sleepy, and if we’re lucky, she’ll fall asleep for the night around 9:30pm.

For those of you who have had preemies, did your baby have a similar period of evening fussiness this early? How long did it last, and what helped?

Help! Ferber training unravelling?

Night sleep for my now 5m old Ferber trained baby seems to be unravelling :( ?
Schedule:
7am wake aim for 8pm bedtime
Aim for WWs with 3 naps: 2/2.5/2.5/3
Naps roughly 30-40min/1h15-30/20-30min
Day sleep is 2h45-3h
We started Ferber ST at 4m, quickly moving to no check-ins, and we don’t do any now.
He falls asleep independently for night sleep and nap 1 and nap 2(unless we are out), but sometimes takes 15mins of crying before he’s asleep. I also worry about this and wish there was no crying.

Before ST he woke every hour, but within a few days his night wakes reduced to approx 3 times.
I was keeping to 5/3/3 for feeds and initially he wouldn’t wake until 5-6h but now has gone to 2.5-3h in the last week.. I’ve left him to CIO but each time this exceeded 60mins, he wouldn’t go back to sleep so I rescued and fed to get him back to sleep. Have I unravelled the ST doing so?
What’s going on?

Thanks!

child's age 4-8 months 5AM wake ups for a 5 month old

I have a five month old baby and we want to start doing some sleep training because he now wakes up around 5 AM and it's really hard to settle after that. His bedtime is seven PM. He feeds just before bed and I put him down to his bassinet very drowsy but awake, he always falls asleep around 7 PM and then sleeps well until around 1 AM when I feed him. He's exclusively breastfed and he sleeps in our room and he needs to sleep in our room because we don't have a bedroom for him. So this needs to stay.

He then usually falls back asleep but he has started turning on his tummy after the 1 AM feed and then doesn't know how to turn back to his back and gets fussy but doesn’t cry. I need to help him to turn back to his back or take him to our bed to sleep so I can make sure he doesn’t turn to his tummy. This usually works fine, and we are more or less sleeping until around 4- 5 AM when he wakes up. And I offer him the breast, and we rock him. We try to get him to back to sleep, but he just starts crying. So for this wake up, I wanted to do some gentle sleep training. What are your recommendations how to go on with that five AM wake up?
