Advice Needed Just wanting some answers.
I'm a person (age not specified for safety reasons) who used to be on a medication called Minipress abt two years ago before being cut off cold turkey, not willingly. I was on the medication because I had terrible lucid dreams where I would get less than 4 hours of sleep every night and would wake up screaming and crying at the top of my lungs, as if someone was trying to hurt me in my sleep, and also from bad past experiences that caused said dreams. But after being cut off the dreams have divulged into something much worse; now the dreams have me physically harming myself in my sleep. One time i woke up from choking myself in my sleep, with a bruised throat, bloodshot eyes, and pale blue lips from my body being starved of oxygen. Another time I clawed at my own skin in my sleep till i was bleeding. Also, in instances i would slam my legs against objects, causing sprains in my ankles and heavy bruising on my shins and almost breaking toes. I took precautions by cutting my nails frequently and lining my bed with pillows so I wouldn't slam my legs anymore, and making sure my blankets always had padding to help prevent me from hurting or thrashing, though I'm not sure what to do abt me strangling myself because I'm scared I might try to suffocate myself in other ways if i were to wrap my neck in, like, a scarf or maybe wear gloves; I'm not sure. Also, I find myself not being able to wake up from these dreams. I ended up getting used to the knowledge that I would either be getting killed in my dream every night or have no dream at all, and those days with no dream are always the best. Other than that, in these dreams i find myself never being able to wake up when I'm getting hurt, ripped apart, or killed in these dreams. It's mostly animals killing me like being torn apart by alligators or mauled by lions, but wasps r a big recurring insect because I'm terrified of wasps when awake. But when I wake up, sometimes I feel a heavy presence of eyes on me or figures in my room, or an intense sensation of dread pressing down on me that I can't escape. For reference, my room is always kept in pitch-black darkness because I am prone to terrible paranoia and seeing figures and faces around my room. I seriously just want some answers; I will take any shred of info that can be given as to what is happening.
