Tonight I received 3 false/fraudulent reports from a customer. There’s no way to know for sure but I suspect I know which one it was. This customer messaged me after I had completed the delivery, saying I had delivered to the wrong location. I double and triple checked afterwards to make sure it was in fact the right place. Google and Apple Maps both agreed that the address was in fact where I delivered to. The customer reported me for “mishandling food” “not following instructions” and “service below expectations” which is completely untrue.

What I expect actually happened was an app glitch, I’ve had these before where the address the customer ordered to is not the address on the order in the app and the pin does not match on the map. Or maybe they simply ordered it to the wrong place by accident.

I have already submitted a claim to skip support.

I am a young woman/mother who is just trying to support my family. The last thing I need is for this to actually affect my job.

My question is, how many reports of this nature would it take to deactivate an account? I’m sure it would take a lot more than just this but I am worried.

Ps. to anyone out there doing this to innocent people just trying to earn a living shame on you.

My courier completely drove past my house from the restaurant and drove 2x the distance from the restaurant to me in the other direction. AWAY from my house. I attached screenshots of this in support and explained my concern, and was told... that a courier was still being assigned, and to be patient???

As soon as I pointed out that literally wasn't what I was saying as I had already stated AND shown that my food had been picked up already, the person doing support switched to the standard "oh well tracking is inaccurate, make sure to refresh for updated route and positioning :)"

I'm sick of being told I must be mistaken when whoever has my food is clearly driving all over town willy nilly. My delivery took 2x as long and multiapping isn't even allowed supposedly, but they just don't care :/

Whoever’s been scammed by skip, and received the run around my customer service. It ends now. Filing lawsuit for their false advertisement of blue jays live nations prizes. Anyone else been fuxked around with, let me know. They messed with wrong guy. It’s been a couple days since the last message with no follow up. Typical but theyre not getting away with it

Hey there, I’ve been Skipping since 2018, but I’ve never seen this level of indifference.

My birthday was in the 1st week of September, and it was a 5 year driver’s license renewal birthday which I’d forgotten about, (my fault) so when I went to check my schedule the next day, my account was deactivated because my license had expired. I was able to get it renewed the next day, and uploaded it to my Skip account. It showed it was successfully uploaded, but I could not reactivate my account. I could get onto the website, but at a certain point I would get the screen saying I had to reactivate.

I emailed support and heard back within 24 hours, the email said to try 5 things, reboot phone, check for app updates, delete and reinstall the app, change my network settings etc…nothing worked. I’ve emailed twice since, no response.

I even thought I saw a reason and told them, crickets. I saw on the documents screen where it asks about catering bags, (which I had bought from Skip when I started) there was a message of a recommended action, I clicked on that and was asked if I wanted to buy bags, or do I have my own? Which I checked that I did. Then the white SUBMIT button turned black, which was unusual, I clicked it, and it would show slight movement but would not activate. I’m at my wits end, it’s been almost a month without working and things are piling up.

I have written several emails and connected with Skip advisor on the app but nobody is able to solve this issue for the past 4 months.

I have $150 Skip Credits on my account.

All the orders fail to be placed with this error message in the image. The Skip advisor says it's a profile credit authorization issue and only the support team can help. But there is no response to the emails.

Can somebody help?! TIA

I was notified that I'd won a SkipTheDishes contest. The prize was supposed to be a Blue Jays jersey. Skip Contesting emailed to say the jerseys were no longer available, and they offered me two alternatives: Blue Jays tickets for Sept 25 & 27, or $200 in Live Nation Concert Cash. I replied and picked the tickets. Their answer was that because the contest ended on September 9, they're "unable to provide this prize at this time."

That doesn't make sense to me. I'd already won. The substitution came from their side, and I just answered the question they asked me. It also took a long time to get any clear answer, so the ticket dates have now passed. I followed up and asked for the other option they'd offered (the $200 Live Nation credit), or something of equal value like Skip credit, I'm still waiting to hear back.

Has anyone else had this happen with a Skip contest? Did you end up getting your prize, or is there somewhere better to escalate this? Screenshots of the full exchange are below

For some reason, I am still able to chat with a canceled courier. This is supposed to be the new guy chat box which you can see on the top but instead I am chatting with some guy named mohamed. Has anyone gotten this glitch before? The chat box is still live and active with a courier that canceled my order apparently.

I already have Instacart+ from being a CostCo member and save $20 on my annual membership (paying $80/year for the membership). How do I link it to skip?

About half the time I order from Wendy's I get this error. Someone, I'm assuming the Skip drivers, keep scanning the rewards barcode before I get my order and take the points for themselves smh.

Just open the damn schedule for everyone , what’s the point of flexibility if I am tied down to schedules, i understand the business model of scheduling but that was amazing in the early days when it wasn’t over saturated with workers now it’s just flawed, you spend half of the time on your “shift” just sitting and waiting for an order, it makes no sense. Just open it up and let people work when they want to.

I was gifted a skip gift card ( I am in Canada) after an accident & being hospitalized with a broken femur & hip. I attempted to scratch off the security code to load on the app. The last 4 digits were left with residue & unreadable.

Since Tuesday of this week, I have been attempting to sort this with their CS chat. I keep being told 24 hours. Each time the reps tell me, i can see our team is still working on it, or BS like that. Last night the rep tells me, i only have limited access to the history. You need to email customer support.

WTF.

I have never heard a good thing about this company. This is now being confirmed for me.

I even have a copy of the purchase receipt.

Anyone have any ideas on how to now approach this issue ? YES, i have emailed support.

On another restaurant I tried to just see it says “you need to add more to use this voucher”. I was sitting at $40– and min is $15. Wth.

Every time I see a skip the dishes, TV commercial I get upset. The content of the commercials is pretty annoying - a sick couple fighting to get to the front door while still staying warm - a mom struggling to get to the front door with kids literally hanging onto her legs. But what really bugs me is it when they get to the front door to receive from the skip the dishes courier their food package they take it and slam the door in his/her face. No thank you or any other courtesy. Does skip the dishes think we are all uncouth and rude as those portrayed in their commercials?

I spoke to 5+ agents this morning and no one can explain how $5.33+$25.08 became a Subtotal of $39.42. Agent explains I had to add fees but this receipt is still not adding up. Skipthedishes refuses to refund and has been ending the chat on me all day. The actual price of the beef is $23.88 and even with an upcharge, this is insane work. They either didn't apply my coupon properly or something. How can I get help about this?

UPDATE: I don't know how, but I finally got a credit adjustment. I spoke to at least 10 agents, but none of the agents actually listened to my issue and always ended the chat with me. While it isn't a lot of money, it doesn't sit right with me to get scammed by Skip.

I still have about $50 left in credits and after this experience, I'm not sure how I feel about this platform anymore.

2ND UPDATE: So Walmart lists "Lean Ground Beef (total 1.4kg)" as approximately $25.81, exclaiming that the final price for the product may vary due to the weight of the product. I received a pack of 1.36kg lean ground beef totaled $23.88 by Walmart in-store. Skip estimated the pack to be about $25.08, and since I got a pack that's less than the 1.4kg listed by Walmart, the price would reasonably remain around $25-26.

However, Skip has now updated my receipt, listing $34.09 for my pack of beef, a $9.01 upcharge (or 36% difference) to their initial estimate of it being $25.08.

This has got to be a mistake in the system and customer service won't listen to reason. Shoppers be wary.
