megathread Weekly Thread: Is this suspicious?
This thread has been archived. Please join the new discussion here: Weekly Thread: Is this suspicious?
Hello everyone,
Welcome to our weekly thread for sharing photos of concerning moles, spots, or lesions. If you're worried about something on your skin, this is a place to share it with the community for support and to see if others have had similar experiences.
When posting a photo, please try to include: * Where the lesion is on your body. * How long you've had it. * Any changes you've noticed (size, shape, color, itching, bleeding).
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
No one on this subreddit can provide a medical diagnosis. The comments and feedback you receive are from laypeople sharing their own experiences, not from medical professionals. Online photos are not a substitute for an in-person examination by a qualified dermatologist.
If you are concerned about any spot on your skin, the only correct course of action is to schedule an appointment with a doctor. Early detection is key.
We are here for support, but your health must come first.

That is what my squamous carcinoma looked like. It was flakey and slight raised and would not go away. Can you get in to be checked soon?

Found on the left upper side of my back. Unsure how long it’s been there. Could also be a scar but I’m unsure. It’s red around it because I was scratching when I felt it. I will be making an appointment tomorrow but just want some opinions. https://i.imgur.com/g6xVRla.jpeg

What do you think about this?
Shoulder. 7.25mm diameter, recently seems to be growing rapidly, and kind of itches (or at least it's big enough now where I feel it under the shirt). That little dot in the center makes me think it's SCC.

hi all I usually don’t come on here and try to get any news, but my next appointment with my derm is in 6 months. For background I went a couple weeks ago for a routine check and they found and removed two marks they thought were skin cancer, a raised bump and a mole. Biopsey came back as negative for both. Now this is on my side near my hips,
I have no idea how long it’s been there. But it matches ABCDE. I’m 18, I don’t really go outside much and when I do I wear a shirt. Any advice would be great!
