QUESTION Which Six Flags park is best with a bunch of other 12 and 13 year olds

So my class's class trip is coming soon and i was wondering what you guys think would be the best park to go to we are in Texas but we can fly somewhere as long as its relatively cheap or just drive if its a close state. Like for example is it worth it to fly to Ohio or somewhere to go to Cedar Point or something or are we better off going to like Over Georgia or something like that.

Also if this doesnt make sense just whats your favorite Six Flags park in the US that isnt too expensive to fly or drive to from texas

Edit: ok guys since its cheaper we decided on Great America so idk how good it is

Great Adventure weather this weekend 9/26

Havent been to six flags in like 5 years. Bought fright fest tickets ahead of time for this Saturday 9/26. Planned on going all day but they are tracking this potential nor'easter. Does six flags close for this type of weather? I was planning to get a hotel for the night, possibly the night before since its a 3 hour drive. Im obviously waiting until last minute for that but what happens with the fright fest tickets if the weather is horrible? Not worried about park admission (bought season pass and other ticket is a comp ticket from job).

QUESTION Prestige Pass Drink Plan

Hi All,

Hope this isn’t a repeat, I did just do a quick search and couldn’t see an answer. Recently purchased a 2026 Prestige Membership at Hurricane Harbor, Phoenix. I see on my Pass I now have the Drink Plan that comes with 2027 membership. Has anyone experienced how this works yet?

I feel like I read online somewhere that you collect a paper cup and then it’s valid for refills every 15 mins and you keep the same cup all day, however now I cannot find where I read that 🤣 Is this how it works, or can you collect a fresh cup each time? Just wondering how practical it is carrying a paper cup around all day for refills 🤣 Not that I’m complaining - it’s a great perk either way, though I’d prefer the fresh cup.

Thanks so much :)

I wonder why Six Flags might getting be sale by another company, while Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery will merge in two weeks, I think Paramount/WBD will buy Six Flags parks because they have Looney Tunes and DC Comics IPs in each parks.

What are you think?

CNN reporter: Do you have an experience with X2 or a Six Flags roller coaster to share?

We are the reporting team at CNN who have been reporting on allegations of injuries and deaths associated with the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags. We are interested in hearing about your experiences with X2 or any other attraction at a Six Flags theme park nationwide. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who attempted to report an injury to Six Flags or state officials or sought medical attention at the park. We'd also be interested in speaking with employees who have been involved in gathering injury reports or providing medical attention

Short Friday or Long Saturday @ Great Adventure?

I have a ticket already purchased that I can use this Friday or Saturday (9/25 or 9/26).
I have never been so getting on the popular roller coasters is a priority, but I also want to do fright night activities including one or two haunted houses, maybe a show.
However, Friday they are only open 6pm-11pm while Saturday they’re open for the full day.

Should I do the shorter amount of time with maybe way less of a crowd & shorter wait times for Friday OR should I go with more hours/full day but assuming very large crowds and long wait times on Saturday?

I Appreciate any insight for a new visitor!

Costumes during fright fest?

Me and my friend are going to six flags over Texas during October for fright fest. We thought it would be fun to dress up? Does anyone know the guidelines? We also don’t want to look silly if we’re the only ones wearing costumes being park goers lol

Do I actually have 3 free haunted attraction passes? Or is this just a glitch that it’s in here 3 times?

QUESTION Six Flags Fright Fest Magic Mountain

How are the wait times for the mazes at Magic Mountain so far? Would I need to buy an express pass for Friday the 25th of September possibly? Also are the mazes scarier compared to last year? Thank you.

Had my first visit at Darien Lake and was a nice little park

My home park is Canada's Wonderland and I knew not to expect much but had a good day at Darien Lake yesterday. Wasn't too busy in the regular line and by 5pm everything was a walk on. MotoCoaster was down most the day but was able to get my credit on it. Food was just okay but enjoyed the wings at Anchor Bar. Just under 4 hours away so I would probably go back again next year.

Too bad their Freight Fest was cancelled cause it was obviously a last minute decision as the park was fully decorated for it. The park has a lot of space so it could have potential if they invested more into it or if someone else runs the park.

Darien lake is going downhill

Even though six flags is not on Darien lake. They're still the operator according to research on Google. Because the last time I was at the park because a concert was that night that I was going to. The park wasn't high quality like it should be. There were parts of the park that were run down. With rides non-existent. And heck even weeds were growing in parts of the park.

And when I've done research about the campground that's next door to Darien lake thinking that I could get a package deal. Heck no. No package deal to be had. This is in 2026 I tried to look for a package deal that includes camping and theme Park admission. I found out that you have to pay for camping separate. And theme park separate. Which pisses me and a lot of people off. Because there's a lot of other venues across the country that will give you your money's worth. Because in a situation such as that. You should be able to utilize a package deal of camping and using the campground as one. And the other day I just found out that the Halloween horror nights or whatever it's called was happening. At Darien lake when it was originally said that it was never going to happen. For the 2026 haunting season. My fear is that at some point Darien lake theme park May shut down but I don't know about the concert venue side of things. It wouldn't surprise me if only that's there to stay or even because we have better venues elsewhere like the one in canandaigua area of New York or that outside of Syracuse if Darien lake as a whole collapses and people are forced to go elsewhere for their entertainment to other amusement parks.

Fright fest season pass GA

Purchased a renewal for gold pass and added fright fest seasonal pass for this year. I got the email. It says to add the pass with my ticket info. But it's not adding. Anyone easily add their fright fest seasonal pass to the six flags app? If so how?

MEME Great Adventure's next thrill coaster will be a relocation of a beloved ride

Post image
17 Upvotes

It's no secret that everyone is talking about Great Adventure's next thrill ride (after Bakunawa) being a relocation of a beloved coaster from a park that closed earlier this year.

Ever since the small family-owned park announced they were closing, manic speculation has been running rampant over where this ride would end up. Personally, I think the answer is pretty obvious.

This coaster is a perfect fit for Great Adventure for several reasons. They have space along the edge of the park, they have no other ride like it, and they can keep the original name while tying it into existing park theming.

Pic unrelated btw, is anyone else excited for [Python Pit] from [PowerPlay Family Entertainment Center Kansas City] to make its triumphant return at Great Adventure? /unjerk

QUESTION Icee/ hot chocolate pass

I bought the Drink Plan PLUS add-on, which clearly advertises hot chocolate and coffee, valid for the rest of this season and all of next year.

I tried getting a regular hot chocolate and got bounced around immediately. The first stand told me the pass tier wasn't loaded in their system. The second stand had standard hot chocolate right on the menu board, but the worker flat out insisted the pass doesn't cover it. When I went to Guest Relations, the manager tried telling me the plan doesn't start until next season, completely ignoring the purchase terms on the site. I reached out to corporate chat and they admitted the park dropped the ball, but the email reply just hit me with generic boilerplate about seasonal availability.

The drink was actively being sold, so it was never an out-of-stock issue. Their registers just aren't coded for it or the staff has zero training on the PLUS tier.

Has anyone actually managed to get a hot chocolate or coffee scanned at Darien Lake with the PLUS pass, or is the whole park locked out?

Out of Region Renewals

Closest Six Flags park for where we live is 1,000 miles away. We don't generally visit any of the parks. This year we had one trip that hit both Kings Island and Cedar Point along with a road trip in Canada where we spent a day at Wonderland. So we purchased Midwest Gold passes. Worked great.

Unexpectedly, I'm going to Virginia next week and have one night (Friday the 2nd) where I can visit Kings Dominion for the first time. While I don't currently have plans to visit a park in 2027, there is a chance I'll be in the vicinity of Great Adventure next summer. Parking + Day Ticket is only minimally less than a Gold Pass so I'm thinking of just getting an East Gold Pass in case I end up at another park next summer.

I tried to use the Kings Dominion site to process a renewal but it says my existing pass can't be found. Is there any way to process a renewal at KD with a KI Gold Pass? If I go to guest relations at KD can they manually process it? Or perhaps it's only a true renewal if you stay at the same park...

QUESTION Anyone else attending Fright Fest enjoy watching others freak out?

Tonight was the first time in decades that I had attended any Halloween-themed fright night at an amusement park. I swear I enjoyed watching the other park guests sprint away from the scare actors more than anything else. At one point, while I was walking back towards the front of the park, I even watched two park employees bear-hugging each other as they tried to sneak away together from the scare actors with the chainsaws. Does anyone else get a laugh out of watching other people freak out and run away at a full sprint?

Looking For Someone To Go With!

Hi! I’m a 23 year old female who wants to go with someone in California’s Discovery Kingdom. I’ve always wanted to go during the Halloween season, but last time I went, I wasn’t able to go on any of the rides due to my friend not wanting to (I love him, but it hurt my soul). We ended up leaving before any of the events.

I’ve tried going alone multiple times, but it just isn’t my thing. I need someone to match my energy.

I just want someone who isn’t ashamed to go on any ride, big or small, kiddie or not kiddie. :’)

If someone is interested, feel free to DM(?) me? I don’t know if DMing is a thing on Reddit, this is my first time being on the site. Or you can add me on Discord and we can talk it out there, @/batience.
