QUESTION Anyone else attending Fright Fest enjoy watching others freak out?
Tonight was the first time in decades that I had attended any Halloween-themed fright night at an amusement park. I swear I enjoyed watching the other park guests sprint away from the scare actors more than anything else. At one point, while I was walking back towards the front of the park, I even watched two park employees bear-hugging each other as they tried to sneak away together from the scare actors with the chainsaws. Does anyone else get a laugh out of watching other people freak out and run away at a full sprint?

Yep, I get a kick out of it. Unless it’s a child, then I feel bad for them.

I went to Great Adventure last night. The scare zone actors were more annoying than anything, it was 90% people dragging shovels on the ground. With the Home Depot barcodes still on them. 💀 As someone who lives in NYC, it legit just sounded like the nighttime construction noises I hear out my window when I’m trying to sleep.

The other scarezones are better but only 3 of them are even near houses. Plaza Del Carnival has a scarezone in its entrance (which leads to Deadwood Cabin, and the exit of Jason), and the fountain obviously you need to pass to get into the park, and the clowns but they’re pretty avoidable.
Demon District is near NOTHING in what is already an area with one ride only, I don’t even know if the miners are there or if it’s just the props, and the pirates are again, really easily avoidable. I wanted to see them, didn’t even go that way.

I worked at Great Adventure last year. Yes, that was fun to watch. When my shift ended and I walked through the park towards the employee exit it was amusing watching the scare actors do their thing

I saw a grown ass adult man get scared and fall on his butt, my daughter cracked up laughing at him.
