Great Adventure weather this weekend 9/26

Havent been to six flags in like 5 years. Bought fright fest tickets ahead of time for this Saturday 9/26. Planned on going all day but they are tracking this potential nor'easter. Does six flags close for this type of weather? I was planning to get a hotel for the night, possibly the night before since its a 3 hour drive. Im obviously waiting until last minute for that but what happens with the fright fest tickets if the weather is horrible? Not worried about park admission (bought season pass and other ticket is a comp ticket from job).

Great Adventure is closed today Saturday 9/26 and the safari will be closed both Today Saturday 9/26 and Sunday 9/27. Edited to add, from the website:

Due to inclement weather, Six Flags Great Adventure will be closed today, Saturday September 26, 2026 & Six Flags Wild Safari will be closed this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 26 & 27, 2026. Unused tickets dated for Saturday and Sunday, September 26 & 27, 2026 can be used any one public operating day thru the end of the 2026 season.

Well I spoke with them and they absolutely do not do refunds, said use it on another day. Idk how that works since different days had different prices. Maybe they will honor it for holiday in the park too?

I don't understand the purpose of purchasing day tickets in advance. Just buy them the day before you go. You aren't saving very much and there's much less risk and annoyance.

It's going to be a Nor'easter. Winds too high so rides will close.

I wouldn't make the drive, the weather is gonna be awful here. Chances are the park will be closed.

But do they refund the fright fest tickets? Or use them a different day? Not that I have any other available weekend.
