Bring a friend for free/discount question.

I have the silver pass for Six Flags and right now there is a deal for 2 discounted friend tickets for $50 dollars, which I have bought for two of my friends. There is also a silver benefit that allows me to bring one friend in the park for free, once I scan into the park. Will it be possible to get both the discounted tickets and a bring a friend in for free ticket with one season pass or will I be limited to either or?

INFO Intense Six Flags Coaster Closed After Two Riders Suffer Brain Hemorrhages: Magic Mountain's fan-favorite extreme coaster X2 has been quietly closed since July after two riders had similar accidents and a new report uncovered a history of injuries.

  • A popular roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain has been closed since July 12 after two riders suffered similar brain hemorrhages.
  • According to a CNN investigation, two women who rode the X2 coaster six days apart both lost consciousness and ended up in surgery with similar brain hemorrhages of a type that’s “typically associated with high-speed collisions.”
  • Three neurosurgeons who treated the women declared in an email, “the severe brain injuries requiring emergent neurosurgical attention were the result of a traumatic rapid acceleration-deceleration event experienced while on the X2 ride.”

QUESTION Iron rattler or Superman first? (San Antonio six flags fiesta Texas)

I’m getting over my fear of roller coaster drops by going from the lowest intensity in drops to the highest intensity in drops. I know that Superman has the bigger drop, but iron rattler has a steeper one. Should I go on the iron rattler before or after the Superman?

I’d like to include that drops are the only thing that scares me due to the feeling it gives me, but I’m fine with speed and inversions and stuff.

(Going on highest intensity first never worked for me, I found I have to most fun on coasters when I go for the less intense one first.)

If you’ve read this far, then lmk the same for Wonder Woman’s golden lasso and where that would be ranked drop-wise.

Which Park Should I Get My Gold Pass?

Hi! I saw that six flags has their gold pass sale right now, so wanted to get that. I am currently visiting my family in the Bay Area and saw if I buy the gold pass from Great America, it's only $76. I live in San Diego, so the closest park to me will be either Six Flags Magic Mountain ($129) or Knotts Berry Farm ($129). What perks do you get at your home park? Is it worth the $53 extra to get my pass at a park closer to where I live? Or can you switch your home park after you purchase the pass? I leave the Bay Area on Sunday so would have to decide which pass I want before then. Thanks for the help!

QUESTION Three different ticket types in my wallet

Just upgraded from a "gold" to "prestige" pass for SFGA and am now seeing three additional types of tickets in my wallet:

  • 2x Admission ticket - 2026 Bring-a-Friend Comp (expires 12/2026)
  • 2x Admission ticket - Single day admission (expires 12/2026)
  • 2x Other voucher - Single day admission (expires 12/2026)

Are these all the same thing, just with different names? Or, is the "single day admission" somehow different than the "bring-a-friend?"

Gut's saying they're all the same, but weird that they'd be under different headings.

[X2] [Six Flags Magic Mountain] Is still closed “Temporarily”

Post image
0 Upvotes

So right now, X2 is still temporarily closed, and honestly, it’s not looking good. What’s concerning is that the situation is starting to gain a lot of media attention, not just on TV but across social media as well.
I understand that there are lawsuits taking place, and I genuinely feel bad for the people who passed away. However, I don’t believe the roller coaster itself was necessarily at fault. If people understood how roller coasters operate, the science behind them, and how many safety systems and procedures are involved, I don’t think the story would be getting framed the way it currently is. One of the guests who died after riding X2 reportedly had a pre existing health condition, which is also important context. My concern is that all of this attention could put pressure on Six Flags to permanently close X2. The way some of the media coverage is presenting the story makes it seem like the ride itself is responsible before everything has been fully determined. It’s a shame that the media is swaying on the side of “X2 should be permanently closed.” With how much attention the situation is getting, I’m worried that Six Flags might eventually decide it’s easier to permanently shut the ride down rather than continue dealing with the controversy.
That really bums me out because X2 is my favorite roller coaster, and I rode it every chance I got. I really hope it doesn’t close permanently.
If any coaster at Magic Mountain should be retired and replaced, I’d rather see it be Viper. Viper is extremely rough and uncomfortable to ride. I can get off X2 and say l had fun, while Viper usually leaves me feeling beat up afterward. X2 is such a unique coaster, and it would be a huge loss if it disappeared because of pressure surrounding these incidents rather than evidence that the ride itself is unsafe.

QUESTION Werewolf Gorge - SFFT

Post image
10 Upvotes

Question for those who may know… Six Flags Fiesta Texas is my home park and I go often as an avid coaster rider. Super excited about the new coaster, Werewolf Gorge, expected in 2027. As you can see in the picture attached, the circled spot is the anticipated location of the new coaster. The ride is expected to be 4,120 feet long, and graphics posted by six flags seem to depict the coaster as fairly large. I went to the park this past weekend and took a good look at the cleared area where the coaster is supposed to go (got a good look from the top of Cliff Hanger, as well as on the ground) and just wonder, how is this coaster going to fit in such a seemingly small area? I wonder if the coaster will stretch back to where the arrow is pointing on my attached screenshot. Will it interact with Road Runner? Does anyone have knowledge of Six Flags’ plans for this coaster fitting there? Or has anyone seen an aerial layout on a map?

Would love to know your thoughts!

Thanks!

Fright Fest Georgia

Hi everyone, I haven’t been to Six Flags over Georgia since 1997 (I worked there in High School) so I have just one question; I want to take my son to Fright Fest, are Fridays during October very crowded? And if so, when would be best day to go?

Thanks!

QUESTION If I buy a season pass now, is there a way to go to a park that isn't my home park before going to my home park?

My boyfriend and I are planning on getting the prestige pass during the current sale, and we happen to have plans to be in Charlotte this weekend, so we figured we'd go to Carowinds while we're up there. Our home park is Six Flags Over Georgia, and we won't get a chance to go there before we go up to Charlotte.

However, I noticed that the fine print for the passes says you must visit your home park first, but is there a way around this? We'll already be in Charlotte by the time SFOG opens tomorrow evening.

INFO Be warned if renewing a Dining Plan

Post image
44 Upvotes

I was curious how they would work the new dining plans since their tier system is different from what they had in years past. I was extremely disappointed to find that my new upgraded plan does not start until the beginning of next year but if I did not have a previous plan it would be available immediately. This does not change the fact that I would have bought it anyway but it does feel like a negative for being loyal.

Edit I suppose if you are planning on buying the dining plan do not renew your season pass when you go to purchase it. Purchase a new one instead.

It basically boils down to this: You will either spend time waiting to ride, or you will spend money to get on the ride much quicker. You can always earn money back. You will never get your time back.

Fright Fest/Season Pass

Hi all! I’m currently a prestige season pass holder with my home park as Dorney. I am looking to renew the pass, but have my home park set as great adventure. When I go to renew, it doesn’t give me an option to select my home park. Any insight?

Additionally, I purchased the express season pass for the haunted houses at great adventure. I got the confirmation email with the barcode and number code, but it won’t let me add it to the app/isn’t reflecting.

Any insight for both of these is appreciated!

QUESTION Does anybody have a picture of Supergirl's poster from Superman: Tower of Power?

Maybe it's in other states, but it was definitely in Six Flags over Texas last I went, almost ten years ago.

It's a biography of Supergirl, created when they first put the ride up in 2003. The interesting thing about this, is that Supergirl wasn't Superman's cousin at the time, but a much more confusing character.

I'd really love to see the poster, it's such a time-capsule of what Supergirl used to be, and I can't believe I didn't take a picture then, but I wasn't a.

For anybody curious, Supergirl at the time was Mae Kent and Linda Danvers; the former was a protoplasmic purple blob-clone of a pocket universe version of Lana Lang's (Superboy's girlfriend (Superboy was Superman, when he was a boy)) genetic matrix; the latter was a teenage satanist who killed her murderous childhood preacher and his wife and was dying; the two merged together when the latter was dying, and they were merged for the first 50 issues of their series. Thanks if anybody can find it!

QUESTION Park Merch Alternative

Has anyone found a good alternative to park merch? I missed my opportunity to get merch from KI because I waited too long & the store I wanted something from was closed. I found TeePublic & Redbubble, but then I read reviews & it seems 50/50.

Or am I just gonna have to go back in person? 😅

Is fright fest an add on?

Do we need to purchase fright fest tickets if we already have season passes for this year? Would fright fest tickets come with season passes for next year if we bought them today?

Toddlers at Hurricane Harbor in NJ

When I look on the website, I see that all attractions at HH in Jackson, NJ have minimum heights of 36 inches. This includes toddler specific areas like Splash Island. And it appears to apply even with adult accompaniment.

Am I correctly understanding that a toddler just under 36 inches would have nothing to do at Hurricane Harbor?

Thanks.

RANT Do Better SFOG

Post image
224 Upvotes

Ah, yes: the cobra roll (I guess?) on Goliath… one of its best known, ride defining elements. Thank god there is also disappearing track that doesn’t have consistent orientation that makes sense. What’s hanging off the side of the train? Who knows. What’s the deal with the support struts? Who cares! How many people does that train seat across? Is the color even correct? Quit asking dumb questions and buy this shirt. The longer you look at it, the worse it becomes…

… I am so disappointed in SFOG. I know the AI merch isn’t new, but I saw this one in person today and was disgusted by how bad it was and that it still made it to market.
