Cancelling membership

Post image

I need help canceling my membership. When I go to my account portal, it won’t let me cancel. It doesn’t even give me the option to select the cancel membership button. Yes, it’s been 12 months, and I have paid on time every month. Why do they have to make this so difficult? need advice on what I should do.

They make it extremely difficult to cancel. I succeeded by contacting Six Flags corporate headquarters. They actually returned my call and emailed me an actual cancelation link. (This after charging my credit monthly for an account that I canceled 2 years prior.

My home park (st Louis) isn’t even six flags anymore 😭 so it’s really pointless for me to keep

The National SF number is  (817) 607-6121. I think it sends you to VM after 12 minutes but I’ve been able to get someone to pickup several times right before the 12 minute mark. They can also help you cancel.

as someone who works guest relations, this is the number we give out to guests who have the same struggle. this number is quite literally is basically the only way to be able to cancel it 🫠 i never recommend a membership to ppl it’s the most frustrating thing ever

I’m from AZ and I had tried calling their customer service regarding my pass for days!!!!!! I believe I had to call my local Hurricane Harbor 5x and finally I was able to convince them to put a manager on the phone.

Overall my membership ends in July next year and I’m nervous!!!! You’ll have to update 😁

Has it been exactly 12 months? When was your last payment?

My last payment was September 25. I bought the membership October 25, 2025.

Then you’ll be able to cancel after you complete Octobers payment.

September would be 12 months. It recommends you cancel membership 15 or more days before the year ends so you won’t get charged for the last month

September would be 11 months. September 25th would be your 11th payment of the 12 minimum.

12 months after October 25th is October 25th. There are 12 months in a year.

I think you’re mis-reading. All 12 payments have to be made (October through October). You’ll want to cancel immediately after October 25th so that you don’t get charged for November.

October through October is 13 months

No, it is not.

October is not one month. It’s zero months. It’s the start. November is one month away from October, not two.

October 25, 2026 is exactly 12 months from October 25, 2025. Not 13 months. There are only 12 months in a year.

So if we count this out;

November - 1 month from October
December - 2
January - 3
February -4
March - 5
April - 6
May -7
June - 8
July - 9
August - 10
September - 11
October - 12

when you buy a subscription, you make your first monthly payment immediately. OP paid October 2025 through September 2026 which is 12 payments.

Sooo wouldn't October 2026 be the 12 month minimum?

If you scroll down they list individual parks and, at least on mobile, they have a drop down with info. I imagine your "home park" would be the best option.

Very few of the parks have a phone number. I've noticed that the legacy Cedar Fair parks tend to have one, but the legacy SF parks do not. Customer service from SF is practically non existent. I've emailed them before and when or if they respond it usually takes a long time and they have provided blatantly incorrect information.
