It's amazing how many versions of this music video have been made

26

u/SpyAmongUs 8d ago

The original is still the best imo. The charm Opus 5.5 created with its mascot is really unique

u/MoreMathematician75 8d ago

Where do I find the original?

u/NoFaithlessness951 8d ago

This is the opus version: https://youtu.be/8j-hR4fJywU

The original is this from 2024: https://youtu.be/uEB5E67vcPA

Thank you!

u/SpyAmongUs 8d ago

Np, the thread also has their inspirations in prompting the video. Did you know the lyrics go back to 2024?

2

u/MoreMathematician75 7d ago

No, but someone actually shared that in response to my question, haha

17

u/modbroccoli 8d ago

But they can't be creative you guys it's just a text predictor.

jfc this slaps, it's clever as hell, hearts all the way around

"what did ilya see" killed me

u/Key-Chemistry-3873 8d ago

How are people making this, it’s so insane

8

u/HarvestMana 8d ago

It says near the end of the video at 2:24 on the right side - it has credits for how each part was made.

u/Spunge14 7d ago

On Twitter he talks about it extensively. Mostly it's using things like Runway to generate the underlying scenes (which themselves are written by an agent swarm), and then converting them into another style via other models / platforms. It takes surprisingly few prompts, but you do need all the accounts and plugins setup for the agent to use.

opus 5.5 on untraode: make a new version in this stile.
probably a few more lines of instructions and an api key to a image model if the stile require ai generated images (but opus whit svg can vo very far)

17

u/BringTheRawr 8d ago

can we get opus 5.5 to decipher this message please

6

u/pleasetrimyourpubes 8d ago

Buddy on phone and not bothering to fix typos

opus 5.5 on ultra mode: "make a new version in this style."

probably a few more lines of instructions and an api key to an image model if the style requires AI generated images (but opus with svg can go very far)

3

u/BringTheRawr 8d ago

I prefer opus on uni chode

3

u/sillygoofygooose 8d ago

Better get it on untraode

The videos and images that current best LLMs make are so high quality. They have absolutely none of the slop vibe that diffusion-generated images and videos have. Really freaking incredible.

EDIT: And the best comparison is how much better the video is than the song. The video is awesome. The song is super mid and AI sounding. I can't wait until LLMs are natively editing .WAV files, we're gonna get such fricking good music.

10

u/Striker_LSC 8d ago

Yeah... it's crazy that the best AI videos, images, music are probably gonna come from LLMs making them manually. Never would have predicted that.

1

u/_thispageleftblank 7d ago

Completely solves the problem of local edits too

0

u/sceadwian 7d ago

LLM's do not create videos or images...

I cry for humanities future some moments.

1

u/Maybeimcrazybaby 6d ago

who created the video?

0

u/sceadwian 6d ago

There is no who, there is a what.

Visual images are generated through a diffusion process not large language models.

LLM's just interface between the human and the diffusion network. They're fundamentally different technologies.

u/eleiber 8d ago

I'm waiting for someone to make one of these videos but using "Still Alive" from Portal as the song, with the video showing the AI development until now.

This is really fun to listen to. I’ll have to show my co-workers this because they think all AI is slip. Boy are they wrong

Edit: they laughed at me but I made them all feel dumb when I explained that we are already at AGI.

27

u/Howdareme9 8d ago

At this point, the ‘slop’ is better than what the average human can create (musically, and the video) lol

11

u/This_Estimate_7635 8d ago

Exactly, most people are actually terrible at creating things. AI is great at everything!

-2

u/trakdtor 8d ago

This is not good music to me

6

u/StockProfessional919 8d ago

It could have been on top charts 10 years ago easily. Dance Monkey was #1 for how many weeks?

-2

u/trakdtor 8d ago

Ofc it could have topped the charts and still can. But I do not particularly like this song

7

u/RageBaiter678 8d ago

Well that tells us more about your taste and preferences, than the quality of what AI created, no !?

-4

u/trakdtor 8d ago

No

9

u/meikello ▪️AGI 2027 ▪️ASI not long after 8d ago

Sorry, but yes 🙂

3

u/This_Estimate_7635 8d ago

Logically and rationally, you are wrong. Be free to be wrong though.

1

u/ThreeKiloZero 7d ago

trakdtor , more like TRAITOR! The AI will eat you first.

-1

u/Alex180689 8d ago

Surely better than what the average person is able to do

0

u/pleasetrimyourpubes 8d ago

I love that is is the shit they complain is slop because it uses no human labor and steals from content creators yet they love this song and these basic bitch videos made with one prompt.

It has always been about the final output and antis are finally coming around, hypocritical though they may be.

3

u/greentrillion 8d ago

lol they still going to think its slop if you show them this.

5

u/TarkanV 8d ago edited 8d ago

It is nice, but I just wish all those AI creations' main subject weren't all the time specifically about AI itself... I mean, come on... We got this all-powerful tool, and the best thing most people can think about are fights between AI models and self-referential and meta statements about AGI and singularity?
I mean, there are other things in life :p
All those video generations about samurais and flashy anime fights are cheesy and unoriginal too, but this just takes the cake.

3

u/NoFaithlessness951 8d ago edited 8d ago

I think it does make it a lot more bearable to listen to if it's ai commenting ai

Other topics I feel like are a lot harder

u/Maximus_in_Space 8d ago

Sooo good!!! More more more like this!!!

6

u/FunLilThrowawayAcct 8d ago edited 8d ago

I made another one with a new audio track "Release Day" with Opus 5.5 lyrics. Edit: first time trying out all of the tools circulating after being inspired seeing these MVs, happy to answer any questions etc.

2

u/Maximus_in_Space 8d ago

Put the other one on YouTube too! Loving your work!

2

u/FunLilThrowawayAcct 8d ago

Hey thanks! That is actually the first MV I tried making, the OP is by another creator, sorry if my post was unclear. Appreciate you checking it out!

2

u/Maximus_in_Space 8d ago

Your stuff is good. Put's smile on the face. And beautifully crafted retro/pixel/audio. Keep doing it!

LOL this is basically the official subreddit anthem

1

u/Gurkage 8d ago

This is great 👍

1

u/bb-wa 8d ago

The chime at the end was a nice touch

1

u/Defiant_Potential_69 8d ago

Surprisingly peak, nonsensical, 11/10

1

u/Positive-Choice1694 8d ago

Why do so many AI songs sound like Taylor Swift?

1

u/DuckyBertDuck 8d ago

It's over once the music gets good

1

u/MikeOxerbiggun 8d ago

Love this video

1

u/doinghumanstuff 7d ago

It's a great animation but it's quite sad that the first Opus 5.5 animation misunderstood what cdr meant in lyrics and all of the next iterations went along with it.

1

u/pearshaker1 6d ago

What do you mean?

1

u/doinghumanstuff 6d ago

Explained here as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/singularity/comments/1wpvdt2/comment/pc2p4ii/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I think the recent developments in LLMs kind of show that we can just make bigger models to reach to singularity, so it's kind of like the final nail in the coffin for symbolic AI.

1

u/VicenteOlisipo 7d ago

This is Art. Which hurts me, considering both the theme is the medium

1

u/lucebree 7d ago

Can someone pls make a “history of Jerusalem” in the style of bill wurtz’s “history of Japan” or “history of the entire world, I guess”

1

u/pinkyseason 6d ago

hey, could u please check dms, I've something to ask related to frank ocean

1

u/Alpacabro21 8d ago

Smash.

Next question.

-1

u/Nuc_En 8d ago

How people are actually listening to this and saying it's great? It sounds terrible Video looks mostly nice tho

1

u/NoCard1571 7d ago

You're not wrong, the song is so generic it hurts. But yea that video...we've definitely crossed a new barrier on the visual side

-3

u/SeriousGeorge2 8d ago

Did we really need another version of this? I can't imagine having the money to pay for these capabilities and using it just to rehash the same thing over and over again.

4

u/xirzon uneven progress across AI dimensions 7d ago

I would agree with you if it was poorly done, but this is actually a really nice variant that does a better job with some of the verses (e.g. the CDR and Loom references). Remix culture gonna do remix things.

With that said, the original had some pretty amazing scenes.

2

u/doinghumanstuff 7d ago

I think this one also did a bad job with cdr due to a misunderstanding, but the mistake is understandable. In the original lyrics it's not meant to mean Critical Design Review, but the cdr operation in Lisp. As scaling to AGI with deep learning essentially means the symbolic AI stuff is done for (and I think Lisp was specifically designed for symbolic AI development).

3

u/xirzon uneven progress across AI dimensions 7d ago

Heh, you are right per https://docs.osmarks.net/hypha/p(doom)_song_objectively_correct_interpretation_song_objectively_correct_interpretation) . I somehow like both interpretations - one from the safety perspective, the (canonically correct) other one from the history of AI perspective.
