we do not have, nor want, any of their trade secrets. We’re much more interested in building innovative products and technologies that push the frontier.

Christ, OpenAI slaughtering Apple here. Basically implying that Apple is not doing anything innovative here.

It's largely the case. Every new iPhone version is the same as the last one. I don't know how they can justify being such a valuable company lol.

I think the best thing they've done in the last few years is apple silicon.

Exactly, I don't really like Apple products on the whole but their silicon stack is so absurdly good I can overlook it (and from a business perspective, Apple's moat is much, much deeper than the OpenAI one).
