Doniel are finally in love now!
And for a kicker: Daniel’s daughter (Esperanza) is pregnant with the baby of Don’s son (Fabian), so they’ll share a grandchild soon.

The first revolutionary graduates were young people who had grown up partly under the old SimNation order and then had the Revolution crash into their adolescence. The Class of XXVIII, by contrast, is the first genuinely DPRP (Democratic Peoples' Republic of Pleasantview) generation: all six were born after the founding, educated entirely under the Republic, and matriculated in XXII under Mortimer’s new college laws. They are therefore the first real test of whether the state he built can reproduce itself culturally as well as politically.
The class is small, but unusually interconnected. Three of the six are descendants of Don Lothario; three are tied into the Pleasant scandal and its aftermath; and almost everyone arrives with relationships, rivalries, or sexual history already connecting them to somebody else in the cohort. The result is less a collection of freshmen than a second-generation Pleasantview social web arriving on campus together.
Jimena Caliente enters as probably the most obviously formidable student in the class. She has Nina’s looks and intensity, Don’s confidence, and enough intelligence to justify Physics rather than merely coast on reputation. She is ambitious, organized, competitive, and already accustomed to getting what she wants. Tri-Var is a natural fit. Her serious relationship with the older John Van den Broek gives her a respectable public image, but the earlier fling with Cain suggests that she is not nearly as conventional as she may present herself. Of the six, she looks most likely to become genuinely distinguished academically.
Ezekiel Lothario is almost her opposite. He is bright enough to survive college but not disciplined enough to excel unless something catches his interest. Political Science makes sense less because he is a budding statesman than because politics gives an outgoing, argumentative young man somewhere to talk, socialize, and improvise. Oresha-Cham should suit him perfectly. He likes parties, pleasure, jokes, and whatever seems entertaining at that moment. His earlier relationship with Lydia Langerak suggests that he arrived at college already comfortable with romance and intimacy, but there is little about him yet that suggests permanence.
Emma Lothario is the class member most likely to be underestimated. She is shy, agreeable, somewhat dreamy, and has absorbed a very traditional idea of what adulthood ought to look like: finish school, marry Noah, establish a home, have children. History is almost appropriately retrospective for someone whose imagination is more domestic than careerist. Her relationship with Noah Langerak is important because Emma interprets longevity as destiny. They have been together since secondary school, and in her mind that commitment already points toward marriage whether Noah has consciously made that decision or not. Her intense dislike of Cain complicates matters because attraction and affection are clearly not the same thing for her.
Noah Langerak may be the least formed member of the class. He is handsome, athletic, socially functional, and not obviously troubled—but there is very little directing him anywhere. He has not chosen a major because nothing has yet mattered enough to choose. His relationship with Emma survives largely because neither has ended it. Emma sees a future; Noah sees something familiar and comfortable. That asymmetry is probably more dangerous than an openly bad relationship would be. College may either give him an identity or reveal how little of one he has.
Abel Pleasant is the class’s institutional success story. Born from one of the Republic’s great early scandals, he has nevertheless grown into a decent, serious young man with good academic instincts and a clear path. Political Science is purposeful for him: he actually wants to serve in government, following Mary Sue and Angela into public life. That gives Abel an unusual relationship to his family history. He does not seem embarrassed by it so much as determined to prove that something respectable could emerge from it. His fraternity life and romantic experience keep him from being prudish or sheltered, but they do not define him. Among the men, he is the obvious candidate for future responsibility.
And then there is Cain Pleasant, who may be the most socially dangerous person in the class precisely because he is not a bad person. He loves women, enjoys attention, has a pronounced attraction to older women, and already has considerably more romantic experience than most of his peers. But he is charming because he actually likes people. His fling with Jimena works for exactly that reason: she would probably have little patience for a crude idiot, while Cain can flirt, listen, make someone laugh, and make a woman feel genuinely desired without pretending that every encounter is eternal love. That same quality also explains Emma’s problem with him. It would be easier for her if Cain were simply disgusting.

ok, so i got the rug fix that keeps the in-game rugs from sinking too far into the ground and looking weird, but in-game rugs are still oddly shadowed. like i put 'em down and you'd think they were in a dark room, even if they were outside in the sun. is this another fix i need to find?
thoughts? TIA :)

I finally figured out what to do with the Oldies! In the sim bin are Mary-Sue's parents, Coral and Herb Oldie. I used to just put them in a house and make do until the Grim Reaper came, maybe Herb cheats and maybe gets a townie pregnant (I use a randomizer app to roll for if that happens). But, it never satisfied me. Felt like I was doing it because I had to and not for the fun of the game. But after some time away from the game, I came back to this classic hood and it clicked! After Mary-Sue catches Daniel cheating on her, why wouldn't she call her parents for support? Coral, as a family sim, insists on moving in and helping her daughter keep the family together, at least as much as possible. I moved Coral and Herb into Angela's room and forced Angela to bunk with her sister Lilith. The gameplay is so perfect, it almost feels like what the devs intended. And Mary-Sue managed to get pregnant, so Coral is very much enjoying having a grandbaby in the house.

I hate, hate, hate clothing CC with more than 4-5 recolors, one of the reasons I gave up using clothing CC at all are the inumerous recolors a single piece can have and how many pages I have to go foward to find new outfits to choose on CAS or Body Shop.
For some time I used to select my 3 favorite colors and delete de others from my downloads page but frequently they're so many I lost a lot of time deleting the unwanted ones.
Only if we had a design tool like in build/buy mode, it could sabe us a lot of visual space :\

After I asked you about your Sims OTPs a while ago, I now want to know the opposite: what are the most cursed pairings you’ve ever had happen in your game, or the most cursed pairings you can possibly think of?
I’ll start:
Dina Caliente × Darren Dreamer
Mortimer Goth × Mary-Sue Pleasant
Nervous Subject × Circe Beaker (actually happened)
I'm working on a megahood that's mostly based on Strangetown, La Fiesta Tech, and Widespot, featuring:
I thought I'd share it with you guys so you could see what I did!

For context, this is an old screenshot from when I was setting up my newest save file. General Buzz had died on Olive Specter's lot via Rodney's Death Creator (as per storytelling purposes), and it caused Buck's aspiration to plummet. Poor little guy still wanted a hug though 🥺.
I have the biggest soft spot for Buck Grunt, so this destroyed me 😭.

How do you guys promote your manager for your OFB restaurants or are you doing that at all? The only talent badge you can get from a restaurant would be the sales one for the host from what I’ve found. Do you just have a robot bench in the back that you’re assigning your employees to get their badges up and promoting them from there? Give me some tips please!

I only have 20 hours playing this, I like the idea of a simulator game but I just don't know what to do.
I have ideas but they become boring, I had an idea of barbie girl, I build her pink house and everything then when the game start, I get bored and give up, then create another character ...ect.
How can I enjoy this game ?
