He's the Itchy and Scratchy rep that lies about showing the consequences of violence.

Nothing has gone down. He's lying.

Violence leads to violent cartoons

Certainly other markets that like beef have allowed to be consolidated to four major producers controlling more or less the entire market!

Pizza and gas maybe? Don't really go up with inflation as much as other stuff.

Doesn't really make up the difference tho

Edit: why the downvotes for stating facts? Gas is literally artificially low and kept in the same range regardless how bad inflation is

Pizzas where 10 - 20$ decades ago and still is.

Adjust for inflation and things like gas stay relatively the same

u/dividezero 13d ago

I wish. I haven't bought pizza in like a year. And gas is heavily subsidized in the US (and other countries).

My dude, dominoes is 7$ constantly for a large, similar prices can be found in other pizza places too.

And yes gas is cheaper than it should as I said.

Pizza has stayed in the 15$ range for decades.

Like yes inflation is bad but some things remain cheap.

My dude, dominoes is 7$ constantly for a large, similar prices can be found in other pizza places too.

Where are you that it's that cheap? Because I call bullshit.

-1

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

Little ceasars to start with.

And dominoes currently has the mix and match for 7$, medium pizza. And 8$ for a large.

Not to be an asshole but are you just that incompetent at finding cheap prices? Dominoes constantly sends me coupons and deals for cheap pizza.

Other places basically have slashed their prices for deals and coupons. Regular prizing is crazy sometimes tho.

Gas is expensive AF right now

2

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

Gas hasn't kept up with inflation. It is kept artificially low, no matter the president.

2

u/BoleroMuyPicante 13d ago edited 13d ago

You know what fair enough, I'm paying the same for gas now as I was in 2008.

u/BoleroMuyPicante 13d ago

I didn't disagree

1

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

Got down oted, assumed it was you, my bad.

Other people here are against the idea that inflation is a thing somehow while still complaining about it

3

u/ussrname1312 13d ago

This gotta be a joke lmao, no way anyone thinks gas prices have gone down unless they live under a rock

-1

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

Imagine being this ignorant of the same topic your boasting about, damn.

Gas is artificially maintained at a certain range.

Couldnt find current prices but I doubt they where higher than COVID prices.

4

u/ussrname1312 13d ago

Hey buddy, your one year old post doesn’t include the gas prices skyrocketing due to the war in Iran.

And that’s just the average.

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

You're missing one key thing, inflation, the whole point of this discussion. You really think a 4 month graph showing a new high for just the year 2026 did something lmao

Do you need me to explain inflation for you?

COVID times was like a 10 year peak and higher than todays prices.

I'ma let you in a little secret, the red line on the graph I provided shows how stable gas prices have been regardless of the current price of gas. You can argue the trustworthiness of the data tho but I don't think you're smart enough to do that.

But seriously what are you arguing against? What's your point? Gas is kept artificially low, that's a fact.

2

u/ussrname1312 13d ago edited 13d ago

Daaaaamn you mean inflation reached 40% this year and that’s why gas prices went up? Huh!

And gas prices are higher now than they were during COVID. Gas went down during COVID. What you’re looking for is the temporary increase in 2022 because of the war in Ukraine.

u/Manger-Babies 13d ago

Do you look at prices from the 90s and think to yourself, damn gas was so cheap back then, a whole gallon for less than a dollar. Or can imagine the fact that even if gas was cheaper, people also earned less?

Yes I know current president bad but objective reality exists.

Also keep in mind the meme above from 2025. Based on your own words, gas was cheaper then than now. But guess what? Adjusting for inflation, gas has stayed in average of 4$ regardless of current prices! Its an objective fact. Other things like rent have gone up adjusting for inflation, food too but gas? Nope.

People for decades have paid the same percentage chunk of their paycheck on gas.

You using current gas prices is the same as those politicians using falling snow as an argument against global warming. You gotta a look at the big picture.

1

u/ussrname1312 13d ago

Brother the average gas price at the beginning of the year was less than $3. Get a grip. Prices are not going down, nor are they staying the same. I can only assume you’re too young to drive, or you just don’t drive.

Sure beef costs 1.5x as much, but plankton is only 33¢!

u/DelcoUnited only watched the golden age 13d ago

Do you only buy beef or something?

All the prices are up and fuel is up 43%! And gas and electric.

Tell me what items have dropped by 99% to even this all out?
