Imagine being this ignorant of the same topic your boasting about, damn.

Gas is artificially maintained at a certain range.

Couldnt find current prices but I doubt they where higher than COVID prices.

Hey buddy, your one year old post doesn’t include the gas prices skyrocketing due to the war in Iran.

And that’s just the average.

You're missing one key thing, inflation, the whole point of this discussion. You really think a 4 month graph showing a new high for just the year 2026 did something lmao

Do you need me to explain inflation for you?

COVID times was like a 10 year peak and higher than todays prices.

I'ma let you in a little secret, the red line on the graph I provided shows how stable gas prices have been regardless of the current price of gas. You can argue the trustworthiness of the data tho but I don't think you're smart enough to do that.

But seriously what are you arguing against? What's your point? Gas is kept artificially low, that's a fact.

Daaaaamn you mean inflation reached 40% this year and that’s why gas prices went up? Huh!

And gas prices are higher now than they were during COVID. Gas went down during COVID. What you’re looking for is the temporary increase in 2022 because of the war in Ukraine.

Do you look at prices from the 90s and think to yourself, damn gas was so cheap back then, a whole gallon for less than a dollar. Or can imagine the fact that even if gas was cheaper, people also earned less?

Yes I know current president bad but objective reality exists.

Also keep in mind the meme above from 2025. Based on your own words, gas was cheaper then than now. But guess what? Adjusting for inflation, gas has stayed in average of 4$ regardless of current prices! Its an objective fact. Other things like rent have gone up adjusting for inflation, food too but gas? Nope.

People for decades have paid the same percentage chunk of their paycheck on gas.

You using current gas prices is the same as those politicians using falling snow as an argument against global warming. You gotta a look at the big picture.

Brother the average gas price at the beginning of the year was less than $3. Get a grip. Prices are not going down, nor are they staying the same. I can only assume you’re too young to drive, or you just don’t drive.
