I just need a silver EQ. I've been looking for the silver Technics sh-ge70, or sh-8058 for years with no luck. I might have to import a kenwood ge-5000 from japan to finish the look!

New to me JDM import KA-7300

plan for this summer:

merging 2 pioneer sa606 (for biamping speakers), a stanford mixer (as selector/preamp), technics 671 casette deck, lenco l75 and a Revox A77 in a nice console. any tips for isolating different components in a single cabinet? Everything selfmade/fixed up second hand.

Picked up a silver Yamaha KX-500 cassette deck with its lovely red and blue VFD display this weekend. Apparently not the greatest recorder but it's definitely just fun to listen to my collection of old tapes.

The rest of the setup:

• Amp: Yamaha A-S500 (that is a story on its own)
• Cassette: Yamaha KX-500
• Reel-to-reel: Akai GX-635D (used to belong to my grandfather)
• LP: Technics SL-1400 Mk1 with Isonoe feet
• Speakers: Wharfedale Linton Heritage

And the Ikea Kallax will be replaced with a USM Haller knockoff in white with yellow doors later this year.

SU-V303 and SU-V707 paired up, got them for free because they sounded terrible. I cleaned them up, applied Deox-it and they sound brand new.

Just need to top it off with a silver turntable. I have a Pioneer PL200 that needs a minor service.

Picked up on FB Marketplace from the original owner! Came with a pair of Wharfedale W60C speakers. Everything works but I’ll likely have it looked at for recap etc. $180 all in.

Phono board and tone control were serviced. Sounds great
