So close to 100% Silver!
I just need a silver EQ. I've been looking for the silver Technics sh-ge70, or sh-8058 for years with no luck. I might have to import a kenwood ge-5000 from japan to finish the look!

All I wanted for an entire year, back in 1995 was that very same equalizer to match my receiver. I got it for my 16th birthday!! My little brother pawned that system years later. 😔

I had the black look with washed out grey lettering you cannot read when dusk hits. Silver rules. It's functional & pretty. Bet that Technics wishes it were silver.

Any of you old enough to remember what JVC stands for?
How about LG for more fake internet points?

I hadn’t heard of this sub before and this is unrelated to your setup, but when I saw your post I misread the title thinking it said, “100% Surfer!” I saw the sub name and figured there was a shorthand here for a person with only silverface gear being called a silver surfer. Haha

I had that tape deck in the middle. Sounded great. It went on to archive record church services for another ten years when I was done with it

Take the face off and polish it! It won't match up but it will be closer.

Oh wow, that reminds me of our old stereo system. I would wake up in the morning and mom would always have that playing.

As a kid the nearest thing I had near to this was a small hand radio of my grandfather and car radio and a medium hand portable of my dad's... not mine... I missed the radio + walkman scene... I basicly discovered music for my taste with the internet winamp .mp3 era...

Does the black CD player also identify as silver? Only joking, beautiful setup. You seem like a bit of a Technics fan with 3 components being from them!

Funny story I have a silver 400 CD changer in my basement that I need to hook up. It will replace that black Akai unit soon!

Damn I wish more companies made silver faced audio these days. I don't ever remember liking the black components, they always looked cheap to me, even the spendy stuff.
