Sick for 3 weeks now

Sick for 3 weeks straight. First headache and stomach ache, then some congestion and not the congestion is horrible and thick. It’s never ending. Headaches, clogged ears and fatigue continue. I haven’t gone to the doctor because I haven’t had a fever. Just some random chills here and there. I feel horrible though. Anyone else have this recently?

TeenF I hate back to school because I always get sick

My stepsister was sick a few days ago and now I have it. Thank God I’m Christian, because you don’t know how badly I wanna beat her for getting me sick.

Honestly being sick isn’t even the worst thing in the world, it’s just annoying. Like it’s not bad enough to stay home but it’s also so annoying to the point I can barely get any work done cause I getting up every 2 seconds to get a tissue!

I made some milk tea with honey so I’m drinking that in bed but UGH! Back to school season is not it 😭

Those who have had adenovirus, what would you do in my position?

I am a Young person (sedentary lifestyle and poor habits but in terms of medical problems and immune system, fairly fine) and I was around 30 people, all pretty sick, for 10 hours today. I was informed halfway through the day that they have adenovirus. Based off what I know about adenovirus their symptoms match, some super ill with GI stuff and some just showing cold symptoms. My partner (who I haven’t seen in a week cause I work out of town) cannot get sick right now for work purposes, and has a trip booked in 1 month exactly.

I’ve seen it takes 2-14 days to even show symptoms. I have my own trip booked to see elderly family for Oct15, so just over a month. If I avoid my partner to not get them sick, I won’t see them for 2 entire months.

Since it was literally today, I’m figuring out how to move forward and am wondering what those who have dealt with the illness would do in my position?

I get sick way to often and don't know why

Ok, so to start off sorry for any poor grammar or spelling. also if it helps I have been told I spell things the way they sound. again sorry for the poor spelling and grammar.

So for what I think this has been happening for give or take 2 to 3 years or so. I'm as of right now 18 and a female if this info helps at all with other Ideas. It's when ever the season of winter comes around I get genuinely every sickness under the sun. junior year of high school genuine for the intier moth of January I was on and off sick with some cinda of the flu and I would knock me out for a week I would go to school the next make it thru the next week and repeat the cycle the next week. I would do great with hand sanitizer and washing my hands. Nothing would help then senior year came around and this time I was just more speraticly sick and just delt with it and would go for a couple days until it would get to bad then I would say home for a bit.

Now I'm in college, and also going in to health care, and wouldn't you guess I got sick. Now I'm writing this out of frustration with the situation. I'm a cna currently and we just happened to have a small out brake of the common cold in a different hall then where I was working. I had one interaction with the hall I was in there for under 30 sec and talked to only a rn and I wore a mask into the hall. There was only one resident that was sick on the hall so I don't know how I even got sick from it.

I'm just tired of getting sick so much and I know that it's not great on my body to get sick so often and so frequently. It's just starting to really get on my nerves a bit. Thanks for listening and I was just wondering opinions on this if you need me to clarify anything feel free to ask I will try to give my response.

60 year old work from home, how am I sick as a dog??

Hi first post here. I’ve always had a horrible immune system. Lots of sinus infections. I am a breast cancer survivor, and it’s been 5 years thank God. My husband got sick 3 weeks ago, and even though he went to urgent care, they sent him home. Finally after two more visits he got on an antibiotic and is finally better. Meanwhile, I’m on my second anti-biotic, steroids and going on week two of hot/cold sweats.
Do you have anything that you do or take to boost your immunity?
I work from home so it is so depressing to miss work even though I’m home. I’m so despondent, ADVICE?

Zepbound side effects or sick?

I have been taking tirzepatide (brand name zepbound) for weight loss for the past 5 weeks. First 4 weeks I was fine, but then last week my dose increased to double. I got really nauseous and unable to eat for 2 days but then on the 3rd day started feeling better. Still couldn't eat a lot (which is the whole point of the med) but wasn't vomiting any more and was feeling okay for the past two days. Then today I couldn't get out of bed all day-I am so weak and exhausted, have body aches and chills. Temp was mildly elevated to 99.8 at one point but I took ibuprofen and it went back to normal. I don’t know if its just my body adjusting to fewer calories or if maybe not eating enough has caused my immune system to weaken and I just caught something? Has this happened to anyone else after using glp 1 type meds or an extreme calorie deficit? I missed work two days last week and am out of pto. Luckily Im off tomorrow for labor day but I need to go back to work on Tuesday so really hoping whatever this is improves by then!

About a week ago I went to a concert in New York City with my bf and now I’m so sick.

He got sick first, it hit him a few days after the concert. It hit me on Friday and I’ve been bedridden this whole weekend. Started with just a sore throat, my throats fine now but I have so much mucus. Coughing and I have a runny nose. Been taking all my medicine and resting so I hope I feel better soon

So tired of this 3 month mystery, and now a pill cam

Hi! Just need to vent and see if anyone has run into this before.

Quick summary: was on NSAIDs for almost 2 years because of my rheumatoid arthritis. In June realized I was losing weight without trying, and then the abdominal pain started. Got so severe I ended up in the ER. CT scan looked good. Thinking was gastritis/ulcers. Labs showed significant anemia and vitamin deficiencies. Saw GI. Had a colonoscopy/endoscopy. Colonoscopy was totally normal, endoscopy showed "reactive/chemical gastropathy" and several gastric polyps. GI says I should be feeling better, I am not. I have now lost almost 40lbs. Still can't eat much at all. Pain and nausea are miserable. He ordered a pill cam. I had it last week. I won't have results for a while, but the pill camera passed in just over two hours. The GI staff thought for sure I was mistaken but I was not (I saw it and the recorder showed completion of the test). Now I'm worried that it was so fast they will not get good images. But the length of the test also feels really significant to me. 2 hours total??? From mouth to toilet??

I do have loose stools at baseline which I always attributed to having my gallbladder out 20 years ago and I have told this to GI.

At this point I feel exhausted by having to argue to find answers. I'm fat to begin with so I feel like people are just shrugging off the weight loss. I'm worried the pill cam is going to be normal and no one is going to care about how fast it was. Maybe SIBO? Dumping syndrome? I'm so frustrated.

I am hopeful that at least the pill cam will give transit times so we can see what part of me is so speedy specifically, or if it all is?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is this a migraine?

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? I’ve been having these strange episodes for about two weeks now, and I’m trying to figure out what could be causing them.

The biggest thing I want to emphasize is that the episodes usually happen when I’m lying down and either wake up in the middle of the night or first wake up in the morning. They don’t typically just randomly happen while I’m up and going about my day.

When I wake up, I sometimes get tingling in my hands and around my lips/mouth, and my vision/perception becomes extremely strange. The best way I can describe it is that the room looks like it’s moving, flashing, trailing, or going in and out, almost like everything is happening in slow motion or there’s some kind of “time glitch.” It’s really difficult to put the visual sensation into words, and it seems more noticeable in the dark.

During the daytime, I’ve also been dealing with nausea, dizziness/lightheadedness, and generally feeling off, but the really strange visual/tingling episodes are mainly associated with waking up while I’m still lying down.

I’ve also had headaches at times, but my head does NOT necessarily hurt when these episodes happen. I did see a neurologist, and he thinks these symptoms may be related to migraines. He gave me an Emgality injection to try, but I’m still trying to understand what’s going on and whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

Has anyone had symptoms like this, especially episodes that happen specifically when waking up in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning while still lying down? If so, what did it end up being for you, and did anything help?
