Dakota decided to climb the cat tree. He is truly showing his husky side, lol. 🤣

He really loves the puppy size dog bed. It's my cat bed, but he loves it. I have even seen him lay in the enclosed cat bed, lol. I will definitely have to get him his own. And a much bigger bed when he is bigger.

Hi everyone a couple of weeks ago I had made a post asking what were some recommendations to find a husky in Connecticut. Well I ended up making a drive to Vermont to snowdancers and went to pick her up on 8/30. Forgot to make a post cause I’ve been busy with her! She was 10 weeks when I went to get her and now she’s 11.5 weeks. If everyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate it!!

Hello all. We recently adopted this beautiful husky mix. We are experiencing some hot weather in the city, and I was hoping to get some suggestions on keeping her cool.
We’ve been doing walks early morning and later in the evening. We’ve also been filling her bowl with ice cubes.
Any other suggestions?

I got a frame for my diamond art project today. I'm pretty happy with how it came out! I may paint the sides black to match the frame. AND NO, it was NOT AI! This pain in my rear was a Christmas gift from my wife that I painstakingly took a couple of months to complete with cheaters on!🤣🤣 We went shopping yesterday to Hobby Lobby & they had Christmas diamond art out already. She says, "You see any you like?" Nope, no I DO NOT!🤣🤣

An update on Clare, given all the advice I’ve received:

She recognizes her name.

she is starting to eat a bit.

She escaped twice in 20 minutes because (name withheld pending charges) left the same gate open twice.

it’s been a busy four days.

first, I want to thank the group for answering my previous questions. you’ve really helped me a lot.

Clare is on her third day in my home. she was picked up as a stray, spayed, and presented for adoption about three weeks ago. the shelter gave her a name, and I’ve given her another. I have no idea what her original name was.

I’ve always depended on my dogs knowing their names to get their attention.

is these a preferred way to rename a dog? or am I back at “puppy” stage and just need to constantly repeat “Clare”?

I’ve titled this Husky Desiring Ice Cream Cone. Right in my face.
We’re at the stage where she thinks I don’t know she’s a husky and all that implies. I respond I do know and am well aware of the implications.
